List Of Spacewalks And Moonwalks 1965–1999
This list contains all spacewalks and moonwalks performed from 1965 to 1999 where an astronaut has fully or partially left a spacecraft. Entries for moonwalks are shown with a gray background while entries for all other EVAs are uncolored. All spacewalks have had the astronauts tethered to their spacecraft except for seven spacewalks by the United States (six in 1984 using the Manned Maneuvering Unit, and one in 1994 testing the SAFER rescue device). All moonwalks were performed with astronauts untethered, and some of the astronauts traveled far enough to lose visual contact with their craft (they were up to 7.6 km away from it using the Lunar Roving Vehicle). One lunar EVA was not a moonwalk, but rather a stand-up EVA partially out the top hatch of the LM, where it was thought that the extra height would help with surveying the area prior to conducting the moonwalks. Only three deep-space EVAs have ever been conducted, where the activity was neither on the lunar surface ...

List Of Spacewalks Since 2015
This list contains all spacewalks performed since the beginning of 2015 where an astronaut has fully, or partially left the spacecraft. As of 19 August 2016, 215 astronauts have made spacewalks (out of 549 people who have gone into Earth orbit). 2015–2019 spacewalks ''Spacewalk beginning and ending times are given in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).'' 2015 spacewalks 2016 spacewalks 2017 spacewalks Source: 2018 spacewalks Source: 2019 spacewalks File:Jessica Meir from above–during first all female spacewalk in history-2019-10-18.jpg, Jessica Meir during first all female spacewalk in history on October 18, 2019. 2020–2024 spacewalks ''Spacewalk beginning and ending times are given in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).'' 2020 spacewalks 2021 spacewalks 2022 spacewalks See also *List of spacewalkers *List of cumulative spacewalk records This is a list of cumulative spacewalk records for the 30 astronauts who have the most extra-vehi ...

List Of Salyut Spacewalks
This is a list of spacewalks conducted from the Salyut space stations. Salyut was a Soviet programme which consisted of a number of early space stations, including the first space station to be launched, Salyut 1. Six of the space stations launched as part of the Salyut programme were crewed, and spacewalks were made from two of these, Salyut 6 and Salyut 7. A total of sixteen spacewalks were made in the Salyut programme; three from Salyut 6 and thirteen from Salyut 7. Each involved two cosmonauts. Fifteen different cosmonauts performed the spacewalks, with several performing multiple EVAs. Leonid Kizim and Vladimir Solovyov each performed eight EVAs, the most of any cosmonauts in the programme. All of the EVAs were conducted by cosmonauts who part of an Expedition crew, with the exception of one spacewalk by Visiting Expedition 4 cosmonauts Svetlana Savitskaya and Vladimir Dzhanibekov, on which Savitskaya became the first woman to perform an EVA. This is highlighted in light b ...

List Of Mir Spacewalks
''Mir'' (russian: Мир, ; lit. ''Peace'' or ''World'') was a Soviet and later Russian space station, operational in low Earth orbit from 1986 to 2001. With a mass greater than that of any previous space station, ''Mir'' was constructed from 1986 to 1996 with a modular design, the first to be assembled in this way. The station was the largest artificial satellite orbiting the Earth until its deorbit on 21 March 2001, a record now surpassed by the International Space Station (ISS). ''Mir'' served as a microgravity research laboratory in which crews conducted experiments in biology, human biology, physics, astronomy, meteorology and spacecraft systems in order to develop technologies required for the permanent occupation of space. Following the success of the Salyut programme, ''Mir'' represented the next stage in the Soviet Union's space station programme. The first module of the station, known as the core module or base block, was launched in 1986, a ...

List Of International Space Station Spacewalks
On the International Space Station (ISS), extravehicular activities are major events in the building and maintaining of the orbital laboratory, and are performed to install new components, re-wire systems, modules, and equipment, and to monitor, install, and retrieve scientific experiments. Due to the complexity of building a station in space, space agencies train astronauts extensively, preparing them to encounter surprises during spacewalks, teaching them how to assemble special tools and equipment, and carefully coordinating every activity during spacewalks. From 1998 to 2005, thirty-seven Space Shuttle missions were scheduled to assemble, outfit and begin experiments and research aboard the station. The initial spacewalk to begin the assembly of the International Space Station was held on 7 December 1998, following the launch of the first section of the station, ''Zarya'', from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, on 20 November 1998. The spacewalk attached the U.S.-b ...

List Of Cumulative Spacewalk Records
This is a list of cumulative spacewalk records for the 30 astronauts who have the most extra-vehicular activity (EVA) time. The record is currently held by Anatoly Solovyev of the Russian Federal Space Agency, with 82:22 hours from 16 EVAs, followed by NASA's Michael Lopez-Alegria with 67:40 hours in 10 EVAs. This list is current as of March 1, 2022. The RSA designation includes spacewalks under the earlier Soviet space program. List Notes Behnken and Cassidy are the first to complete 10 spacewalks in NASA EMU suits. Whitson and López-Alegría used Russian Orlan Space Suits for some of their spacewalks: López-Alegría completed 2 and Whitson completed 1 spacewalk(s) with an Orlan Space Suit.
