These are all known tornadoes resulting in student deaths at primary and secondary schools in the United States from 1865 to 2015. Wauseon, Ohio
Wauseon ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Fulton County, Ohio, approximately 31 mi (51 km) west of Toledo. The population was 7,332 at the time of the 2010 census. History Wauseon was platted 1853 when the Michigan Southern Air Railway was extended to that point. Land speculators bought 160 acres of land, which would become the City of Wauseon. The original name for the city was "Litchfield" after Litchfield, New York, where many of the city's new settlers had emigrated from. However, Hortensia Hayes, the daughter of an early settler, suggested that the new village be named after an Ottawa Tribe Chief named Wauseon, who was forced by the federal government to forfeit their land, before moving to Oklahoma in 1839. Lockport, Louisiana
Lockport is a town on Bayou Lafourche in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 2,490 in 2020. It is part of the Houma– Bayou Cane–Thibodaux metropolitan statistical area. History Lockport, founded in 1835, traces its history to Jacques Lamotte, who in 1790 owned a large tract of land along Bayou Lafourche. Lemotte sold a portion of the tract to Messrs. Mercier and Marcantel in 1814. In 1823 William Field purchased a parcel of the land and later donated 5 arpents of it on both banks of Bayou Lafourche to Barataria and Lafourche Canal Company. Paw Paw is a village in Lee County in the U.S. state of Illinois. As of the 2020 census, the village was home to 830 people, down from 870 at the 2010 census. It was settled in the mid 19th century and by 1878 the village had a railroad connection. Paw Paw is home to a house which is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and was the recipient of a 2005 federal grant to construct a water tower. Forestburg, Texas
Forestburg is an unincorporated community in Montague County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 50 in 2000. History Forestburg was first settled in the early 1850s. Austin Perryman, Wash Williams, and Bob Clark were the first cattle farmers to settle here. Because of nonstop Indian raids in the area, it remained underdeveloped until the 1870s. The community first went by the name of Horn Hill, but it was changed to Forest Hill due to a grove of live oak trees in the area. It rechanged its name to Forestburg when postal authorities found out that there was another Forest Hill in the state. A post office was established in 1876. The community then had 200 residents served by several businesses such as sawmills and cotton gins. The population grew to 372 in 1900 and had a telephone line connected.
