Imathia
Imathia ( el, Ημαθία ) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Central Macedonia, within the geographic region of Macedonia. The capital of Imathia is the city of Veroia. Administration The regional unit Imathia is subdivided into 3 municipalities. These are (number as in the map in the infobox): * Alexandreia (2) * Naousa (3) *Veroia (1) Prefecture As a part of the 2011 Kallikratis government reform, the regional unit Imathia was created out of the former Imathia prefecture ( el, Νομός Ημαθίας). The prefecture had the same territory as the present regional unit. At the same time, the municipalities were reorganised, according to the table below. Koumaria, Imathia
Koumaria (, rup, Doljani) is an Aromanian (Vlach) village and a community of the Veroia municipality. Since the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality Veroia, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 243 residents in the village and 339 in the community. The community of Koumaria covers an area of 139.132 km2. Administrative division The community of Koumaria consists of two separate settlements: *Koumaria (population 243) * Xirolivado ( rup, Ksirulivadi; population 96) The aforementioned population figures are as of 2011. Kato Vermio
Kato Vermio-Seli ( el, Κάτω Βέρμιο, before 1926: Κάτω Σέλι - ''Kato Seli'', rup, Selia de Jos) is, primarily, an Aromanian (Vlach) Greek village and a community of the Veria municipality. Since the 2001 local government reform it is part of the municipality of Veria, of which is a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 236 inhabitants in the village and 75 of them are permanent residents. .The altitude of the village is 1400-1550 meters, making it, probably, the highest populated village in Greece.There are about 1250 households in the village. The community of Kato Vermio-Seli covers an area of 38.915 km2. Geography Seli is located at a distance of 20 km from Veria and 90 km from Thessaloniki, in Imathia, Central Macedonia. The altitude of the village is 1400-1550 meters, making it, probably, the highest populated village in Greece . Climate Seli has a humid continental climate (Dfb).
