Africa 24 is a 24-hour news cycle, 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week television news network devoted to news about Africa. It broadcasts in French to France, but is also available in Sub-Saharan Africa. In January 2013, Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) announced that it would be making Africa 24 available to satellite subscribers in the Middle East and North Africa, intending to reach an audience of immigrants to the region from Sub-Saharan Africa. Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) is a major radio and television broadcasting company in Cameroon. CRTV is a government-controlled radio and television service in Cameroon. It started as Cameroon Television (CTV) and later merged with the radio service to become known as CRTV. Medi 1 TV (formerly Medi 1 Sat) is a Moroccan free-to-air television channel launched in 2006. The channel broadcasts news content in Arabic and French. History Medi 1 TV was first launched on 1 December 2006 under the name Medi 1 Sat, broadcasting exclusively on satellite, and was co-jointly owned by public Moroccan and French investors.
