Winx (foaled 14 September 2011) is a retired champion Australian Thoroughbred racehorse. Between May 2015 and her retirement in April 2019, she won 33 consecutive races including 25 Group 1s (a world record), at distances ranging from 1300 metres (roughly furlongs) to 2200 metres (roughly 11 furlongs). In the World's Best Racehorse Rankings, she was the second-ranked filly or mare in 2015, improving in 2016 to become both the world's top-ranked filly or mare and the world's top-ranked turf horse. Vow And Declare (foaled 17 October 2015) is an Australian bred thoroughbred racehorse that was the winner of the 2019 Melbourne Cup. Background Vow And Declare was bred by Paul Lanskey, the owner of the broodmare, Geblitzt. Declaration of War sired the horse whilst performing shuttle stallion duties for Coolmore Stud in Australia. Lanskey named the horse after his father's habit of coming home from the pub and saying "I vow and declare I've only had a few beers". At the 2017 Inglis Classic Sale, Vow And Declare had a reserve price of $70,000 however only received a bid of up to $45,000. Background Yes Yes Yes was purchased by Darren Weir Racing/John Foote Bloodstock for $200,000 at the Magic Millions yearling sale. Racing career Yes Yes Yes made his debut at Moonee Valley on 1 December 2018, where he "ran on well" for a second. A fortnight later, he won his first race. After settling near the rear of the field, he "came through powerfully between horses inside the final 200m". Trainer Weir was then considering entering the Magic Millions Classic, saying, "He's got the right attitude and he's got the ability. Career Giga Kick made his debut in an 1100m maiden race at Sale on 13 February, 2022. Leading all the way, it was an "impressive" win. He was then spelled for 18 weeks. After two trials, Giga Kick returned at Flemington on 16 July.
