National Seal Of The Comoros
The national seal of the Comoros has the crescent found on the Flag of the Comoros, national flag in the center; within this crescent are the four stars found on the flag. History Of The Comoros (1978–1989)
The Comoros is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, located off the eastern coast of Africa. France first established colonial rule in the Comoros in 1841. Agreement was reached with France in 1973 for the Comoros to become independent in 1978. On 6 July 1975, but the Comorian parliament passed a unilateral resolution declaring independence. The deputies of Mayotte, which remained under French control, abstained. Referendums on all four of the islands excluding Mayotte showed strong support for independence. Ikililou Dhoinine (, born 14 August 1962) is a Comorian politician who served as the ninth President of the Comoros from 2011 to 2016; he was Vice-President of the Comoros from 2006 to 2011. Political career Dhoinine won the 2010 Comorian presidential election, in which he received the most votes in the first round (28.19%). He faced Mohamed Said Fazul and Abdou Djabir in a run-off election and received 61.12% to win the Presidency. Sayyid Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi (, born 5 June 1958) is a Comorian Islamic leader and politician, who served as the eighth President of Comoros from 2006 to 2011. He is popularly known as 'Ayatollah'. After easily winning the 14 May 2006 presidential election with 58.02% of the national vote, Sambi was inaugurated as President of the Union of the Comoros on 26 May 2006. Tadjidine Ben Said Massounde (; 1928–2004) was a Comorian politician. He was born in 1928 in Domoni on Anjouan. Ahmed Abdallah Abderemane was his brother-in-law. Since 1978, Tadjidine worked as director of finance in the public treasury. He became paymaster-general in 1988 and held the post until March 1990. Caabi El-Yachroutu Mohamed (born 1949) is a Comorian politician. He was the country's Vice-President from May 2002 until 27 February 2006, when he resigned in order to participate in the upcoming election for a new 19th and Union president. He was eliminated in the first round of that election. Biography He was director general of the Comoros Development Bank from 1982 until 1992, when he was appointed as Minister of Finance by President Said Mohamed Djohar. Said Ali Kemal (1938 – 13 September 2020) was a Comorian politician. He was the son of Prince Saïd Ibrahim Ben Ali and the grandson of Sultan Said Ali bin Said Omar of Grande Comore. Biography Kemal did his Quranic studies in the Comoros, then attended university in Madagascar and France, where he graduated from the École nationale de la France d'Outre-Mer and the Institute of Human and Social Sciences. After studying journalism, he began working for the Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française in the Comoros in 1969. Mohamed Taki Abdoulkarim (; 20 February 1936 – 6 November 1998) served as the sixth President of the Comoros from 25 March 1996 until his death on 6 November 1998.
