Mrs Mac's Pies
Mrs Mac's Pies is an Australian food company manufacturing meat pies sold throughout Australia and New Zealand and produced in Perth, Western Australia. History In the 1950s Ken Macgregor started up a small business in Melbourne manufacturing cakes, yeast buns and pies. By 1954, the owner had moved his family to Perth and restarted his wholesale business as "Bakewell Pies". The business moved to its Morley site in 1968 and the next generation of the family, Iain Macgregor became the new owner of the business. In the late 1980s, the business had seen vast growth in distribution, new technology and products developed and the company rebranded to the Mrs Mac's name. Brumby's Bakeries (commonly shortened to just Brumby's) is a chain of Australian and New Zealand retail bakeries. It was established in Victoria in 1975 by Roger Gillespie (co-founder of Bakers Delight) with the opening of its first bakery, ''The Old Style Bread Centre'', in Ashburton, Victoria. Breadtop (Chinese: 包店, pinyin: bāo diàn) is an Australian bakery franchise selling a wide range of bread, cakes, buns and pastries. The chain is often likened to the Singapore-based Breadtalk due to the similar store concepts, products on offer and designs. Balfours
Balfours is an Australian bakery which produces pies, pasties and cakes for sale in South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales. History Balfours began when Scottish immigrant James Calder and Margaret née Balfour opened a bakery at 130 Rundle Street, Adelaide, South Australia in 1853. As Calder's bakery became very successful, he opened the City Steam Biscuit Factory in Twin Street, Adelaide in 1872. Balfours became a household name and in 1867, when Prince Alfred, the Duke of Edinburgh, visited South Australia, James Calder was made the official biscuit baker for the royal visit. Around this time, Calder took on his nephew John Balfour and began trading as Calder & Balfour.
