Directed by El Sayed Bedeir, the film was written by Mustafa Samy and starred Faten Hamama, Imad Hamdi and Ahmed Mazhar. Plot Magdi (Ahmed Mazhar) and Dr. Fouad ( Imad Hamdi) meet Souad ( Zouzou Mady) and her daughter Mona (Faten Hamama). Souad, who suffers from poverty, decides to introduce her daughter to Magdi, a rich man, hoping that he can fall in love with her beautiful daughter and ask to marry her in order to save her from poverty. Salah El Din Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar ( ar, صلاح ذو الفقار; ; 18 January 1926 – 22 December 1993) was an Egyptian actor and film producer. He started his career as a police officer in the Egyptian National Police, before becoming an actor in 1956. He is regarded as one of the most influential actors in the history of Egyptian film industry. Zulfikar had roles in more than hundred feature films in multiple genres during a 37-year career, mostly as the leading actor. In 1996, in the centenary of Egyptian cinema, ten of his films as an actor and five of his films as a producer were listed in the Top hundred Egyptian films of the 20th century. Salah Zulfikar was one of Egypt's heroes in its battle against the occupation while serving in the police. Magda Sabbahi or Magda ( ar, ماجدة; 6 May 1931 – 16 January 2020) was an Egyptian film actress notable for her roles from 1949 to 1994. Life Afaf Ali Kamel Sabbahi was born on 6 May 1931 in Tanta, Gharbia Governorate. She was one of the greatest stars of Egyptian cinema, taking the lead role in sixty films. For her film career she took the stage name of Magda. In 1956, Magda founded her own film production company. ''Jamila, the Algerian'' is a 1958 Egyptian historical film about one of the most important figures in the history of Algeria, Djamila Bouhired. The film was produced by Youssef Chahine and written by Abd al-Rahman, Ali al-Zarqani, and Naguib Mahfouz. The film is regarded as not only highlighting the story of an important female revolutionary, but also showing the struggle of the Algerian people against the French occupation. The film stars Magda, Salah Zulfikar and Ahmed Mazhar in the leading roles. ''Jamila, the Algerian'' is the first and only multimedia narrative to focus solely on the role of Algerian women in the 1954 revolution. ''Sayyidat al-Qasr'' ( ar, سيدة القصر, en, Lady of the Palace) is a 1958 Egyptian romance film starring Faten Hamama and Omar Sharif. The film is directed by the Egyptian film director Kamal El Sheikh and written by Hussein Helmy Almohandes. Plot Faten Hamama plays Sawsan, a middle-class orphan who meets Adel (Omar Sharif), a rich man, at an auction hall. He tries to approach her, but she refuses him. Eventually, he marries her.
