Since the Bundesliga's introduction at the beginning of the 1963–64 Bundesliga, 1963–64 season, a total of 55 players have scored 100 or more goals in the competition. The most successful goalscorer is Gerd Müller, becoming the first player to score 100 Bundesliga goals in the 1969–70 Bundesliga, 1969–70 season, finishing his career with 365 goals. Robert Lewandowski is the fastest foreign player to reach 100 goals. With the exception of Aílton (footballer, born 1973), Aílton, each of the players listed represented their national team at least once. Gerd Müller has been the Bundesliga's top scorer since 1970. Previous record scorers were Lothar Emmerich (1966–70), Timo Konietzka (1965–66) and Uwe Seeler (1964–65). Dieter Müller (né Kaster; 1 April 1954) is a German former professional association football, footballer who played as a forward (association football), forward. He achieved his greatest success playing for 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga in the late 1970s, becoming the topscorer of the Bundesliga for two consecutive seasons and winning the domestic double in the 1977–78 1. FC Köln season, 1978 season. KFC Uerdingen 05 was a German football club in the Uerdingen district of the city of Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. The former Bundesliga side, which had its greatest successes in the 1980s, plays in the fourth-level Regionalliga. Stefan Kuntz (born 30 October 1962) is a German professional football manager and former player who played as a striker. He was most recently the head coach of the Turkish national team. Kuntz represented the Germany national team between 1993 and 1997, reaching the 1994 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals and winning UEFA Euro 1996. Manfred "Manni" Burgsmüller (22 December 1949 – 18 May 2019) was a German professional footballer who played mainly as a striker; he also occasionally operated as a midfielder. He appeared in 447 Bundesliga games over the course of 17 seasons, mainly for Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen, scoring 213 goals.
