''Let the Tribe Increase'' is the only studio album by English anarcho-punk band The Mob. It was released in 1983, through record label All the Madmen, and is considered an early example of the anarchopunk genre. History ''Let the Tribe Increase'' was the groups first (and only) LP. It was preceded by three singles: ''Crying Again'', ''Witch Hunt'', and ''No Doves Fly Here'', all songs which were included on ''Let the Tribe Increase''. The Mob (British Punk Band)
The Mob is an English anarcho-punk band, formed in Yeovil, Somerset in the late 1970s. Background The band's initial line-up consisted of Mark Wilson (vocals, guitar), Curtis Youé (bass guitar) and Graham Fallows (drums). Later drummers included Adie Tompkins, Tim Hutton and Joseph Porter. The Mob disbanded in 1983 and reformed in 2011, playing a number of gigs with the original members. The first was on 8 April 2011 at The Fleece in Bristol and later in the year, The Levellers' Beautiful Days Festival in Devon on 20 August. North American shows followed in October 2012, and various European gigs in 2012/13. Their first new release in almost 30 years was the single Rise Up! in August 2013. Post-punk
Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of punk music that emerged in the late 1970s as musicians departed from punk's traditional elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences. Inspired by punk's energy and DIY ethic but determined to break from rock cliches, artists experimented with styles like funk, electronic music, jazz, and dance music; the production techniques of dub and disco; and ideas from art and politics, including critical theory, modernist art, cinema and literature. All The Madmen Records
All The Madmen Records was a record label started by The Mob in Yeovil, England before relocating to London. Profits from the band's ''Let The Tribe Increase'' LP were ploughed back into the label, which was then co-organised by members of the collective which published the Kill Your Pet Puppy zine. Following the reactivation in 2011 of The Mob, the label was relaunched in 2012 as All The Madmen Records Ltd; a collective trading company. Omnibus Press is a publisher of music-related books. It publishes around 30 new titles a year to add to a backlist of over 250 titles currently in print. History Omnibus Press was launched in 1972 as a general non-fiction publisher to complement the sheet music published and distributed by its parent company Music Sales Group. Music Sales had launched a separate company called Book Sales Ltd and the earliest Book Sales catalogue, issued in the early 70s, included compilations of underground comic strips, art and photography titles and one of the earliest books on the then newly discovered art of video. Freedom Press is an anarchist publishing house and bookseller in Whitechapel, London, United Kingdom. Founded in 1886, it is the largest anarchist publishing house in the country and the oldest of its kind in the English speaking world. It is based at 84b Whitechapel High Street in the East End of London. Alongside its many books and pamphlets, the group also runs a news and comment-based website and until recently regularly published ''Freedom'', which was the only regular anarchist newspaper published nationally in the UK.
