''Le Point'' is a Canadian television newsmagazine series, which aired on Radio-Canada from 1983 to 2006. Simon Durivage
Simon Durivage (born December 10, 1944 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian French language television news anchor for '' RDI en direct''. He was recruited by Radio-Canada in 1969 and has since hosted several newscasts and public affairs programs: ''Consommateurs avertis'', ''Enjeux'', ''Le Point'', ''Montréal-Express'', ''Montréal ce soir'' and ''Rédacteur en chef''. Having spent part of his career at network TVA, he anchored the 10 p.m. newscast of this network for several years. In 2002, he left TVA for Radio-Canada, allowing Sophie Thibault to take his place. From 2004 to 2006, he hosted ''simondurivage.com''. Since 2006, he hosts ''RDI en direct'' on Quebec-based 24-hour news-channel RDI, where he also hosts ''Le club des ex'', a forum where former politicians comment news items. Dominique Poirier (born 18 May 1963 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian journalist and host of radio and television. She has spent most of her career working for French-language public broadcaster Société Radio-Canada. She was also the Quebec Delegate General in New York from 2013 to 2014. Biography Dominique Poirier studied art history at l’école Promédia de Montréal, when she was offered a job as a radio host following a short class in Montreal. Career Dominique Poirier started her media career in 1983 as a DJ at CKBS in Saint-Hyacinthe, then in Sherbrooke. Poirier continued intensive work, moving to French-language public broadcaster Radio-Canada in 1985. TVA is a Canadian French-language terrestrial television network, owned by Groupe TVA, a publicly traded subsidiary of Quebecor Media. Headquartered in Montreal, the network only has terrestrial stations in Quebec. Marcel Desjardins (journalist)
Marcel Desjardins (28 April 194110 February 2003) was a Canadian journalist, news editor and director. He was a political correspondent for ''Le Droit'' and '' La Presse'', before becoming an editor at Radio-Canada. He later returned to ''La Presse'' as the news director, then as the vice-president and assistant editor. He also covered ice hockey and was recognized with the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association. Career Desjardins was born on 28 April 1941, in Grenville, Quebec. He began his career in journalism at age 17, writing for ''Le Carillon'' in Hawkesbury, Ontario. He moved to Ottawa in 1962, then worked part-time for ''Le Droit'' and attended the University of Ottawa. He married Micheline Danis in 1963, with whom he had three children.
