Lawn Bowls At The 2014 Commonwealth Games
Bowls, Lawn bowls at the 2014 Commonwealth Games were held at the Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls Centre in Glasgow, Scotland from 24 July to 1 August 2014. Lawn bowls is one of ten Commonwealth Games sports, core sports at the Commonwealth Games and has been continuously held at every Games since the 1930 British Empire Games, with the exception of the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston, Jamaica. The men's and women's fours events returned to the program for the first time since the 2002 Commonwealth Games and two new para-sports events made their debut at these Games. Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls Centre
The Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls and Tennis Centre is a sports complex located in Glasgow, Scotland. Located on Kelvin Way off Sauchiehall Street and adjacent to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Kelvingrove Park and the Yorkhill and Kelvingrove, Glasgow, Kelvingrove residential neighbourhoods, it is owned by Glasgow City Council and was a venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and has been used for the purpose since at least 1910. In addition to a number of lawn bowls greens, the facility has six artificial grass tennis courts which are available to the public to play for free. Prior to becoming an extension of the park to serve as the venue for the International Exhibition of Science, Art and Industry in 1888, the land was occupied by ''Kelvinbank House'', a mansion dating from the 1780s, with the property sited almost exactly on the location of the bowling centre pavilion.

Aron Sherriff
Aron Sherriff (born 29 October 1985) is an international Australian lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career World Championship Outdoor Sherriff won the gold medal in the triples with Mark Casey, Brett Wilkie and Wayne Ruediger during the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide. He also won silver in the pairs with Leif Selby. Four years earlier he had won a silver and bronze at the 2008 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 2016 he was part of the triples team with Barrie Lester and Mark Casey who won the silver medal at the 2016 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch and he also won a bronze medal in the singles. In 2020, he was selected for the 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Australia but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ryan Bester
Ryan George Peter Bester (born 7 December 1984 in Hanover, Canada) is a Canadian lawn bowler. Bowls career World Outdoor Championships Bester won the gold medal in the pairs with Keith Roney at the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Ayr. After winning a bronze in the 2008 World Outdoor Bowls Championship he finished runner-up to Leif Selby in the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship men's singles. He won his fifth World Championship medal when winning a silver medal in the singles at the 2016 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch. In 2020 he was selected for the 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Australia. Commonwealth Games He clinched the silver medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in lawn bowling. Darren William Burnett (born 27 May 1976 in Arbroath) is a Scottish lawn bowler and indoor bowler. Bowls career Commonwealth Games At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won a gold medal in men's singles after defeating Canada's Ryan Bester. In 2018 he was selected as part of the Scottish team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland where he claimed another gold medal in the Triples with Ronnie Duncan and Derek Oliver.
