Rößler, sometimes written Roessler, is an Austrian firearms manufacturer of high-end rifles both for the hunting, sport and tactical market. The company's Titan 3, 6, 16 and Alpha models feature a lock time of 1.6 milliseconds. History Company founder Erich Rößler was born in 1948 in Amstetten, Lower Austria, and started his education at the national college for handguns in Ferlach at the age of 15 years. After his education and at the age of 21 he was employed by a firearms manufacturer. In 1996 Erich started his own company where he produced custom made and small batch orders of single shot rifles, shotgun rifles and Bergstutzen. Due to high demand Walter Rößler, the son of Erich Rößler, quickly joined the company. Mauser M1996
Mauser M1996, also known as Mauser M96 or Mauser M96 S, is a straight-pull rifle which was introduced by the German firearms manufacturer Mauser in 1996. The rifle had a blind magazine which was loaded from the top, and the bolt was operated by pulling the bolt handle about 30 degrees along the longitudinal axis of the firearm. The factory trigger pull weight was a little over 2 kg, and was not adjustable. Due to the construction of the trigger geometry it has proven difficult to lighten the trigger pull without experiencing problems with light primer strikes. The locking lugs are angled slightly to aid with primary extraction. The Heym SR 30 is a straight-pull rifle produced in Germany by Heym. The rifle is also available in a left hand version. Locking mechanism The mechanism uses 6 ball bearings symmetrically positioned around the circumference of the bolt head as locking elements. When the bolt handle is pushed forward, it forces a central plunger down the interior of the bolt body, forcing the diameter ball bearings out to lock into a negative recess in the receiver. A dovetail joint or simply dovetail is a joinery technique most commonly used in woodworking joinery (carpentry), including furniture, cabinets, log buildings, and traditional timber framing.
