Luis Guzmán (born August 28, 1956) is a Puerto Rican actor. His career spans over 40 years and includes a number of films and television series. He has appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson's films ''Boogie Nights'' (1997), ''Magnolia (film), Magnolia'' (1999) and ''Punch-Drunk Love'' (2002), and Steven Soderbergh's films ''Out of Sight'' (1998), ''The Limey'' (1999) and ''Traffic (2000 film), Traffic'' (2000). Luis Guzmán (Peruvian Footballer)
Luis Guzmán Gonzales (2 September 1918 – 19 January 1989) was a Peruvian footballer who played as a midfielder for Deportivo Municipal over a decade from 1937 to 1948. He also played 13 matches for the Peruvian national team in the 1940s. As a manager, he coached Alianza Lima in 1952, and then Porvenir Miraflores and Deportivo Municipal in the mid-1960s. Playing career Club career Luis Guzmán was born in Lima, Peru, on 2 September 1918, and he began his football career in his hometown club Alianza Lima in 1934, aged 16. Nicknamed "Caricho" Guzmán, he had been called upon to succeed Alejandro Villanueva, idol of Alianza Lima, but was unable to make a place for himself in this club. He was fragile in appearance, but a great player on the field. Thanks to the intervention of Juan Bromley, manager of Deportivo Municipal, he was transferred to the latter club in 1937, remaining there for the next 11 seasons. Don Luis Enríquez de Guzmán, 9th Count of Alba de Liste (; also sometimes, ''Luis Henríquez de Guzmán, conde de Alba de Aliste'') ( – March 12, 1667) was viceroy of New Spain from June 28, 1650 to August 14, 1653 and thereafter viceroy of Peru, from February 24, 1655 to December 31, 1661). In Spain Don Luis Enríquez de Guzmán was the ninth conde de Alba de Liste. He was a lieutenant and police officer in Zamora and mayor of Sacas. He also held other posts in government service, and was made a Knight Commander in the Order of Calatrava. In New Spain He was named viceroy of New Spain on May 28, 1648, under King Philip IV of Spain. Luis Roberto Guzmán (born April 9, 1973) is a Puerto Rican actor known for his performances in Mexican telenovelas including '' Alborada'', and for his title role in Mexican series '' El Pantera''. Guzmán also worked on the film '' Ladies' Night'' in 2003. Early life Early in his life Guzmán wanted to enter '' Menudo'', but was unable to do it, eventually forming friendships with several former members.
