Lufthansa Cargo AG is a German cargo airline and a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa. It operates worldwide air freight and logistics services and is headquartered at Frankfurt Airport, Lufthansa's main hub. Besides operating dedicated cargo planes, the company also has access to cargo capacities of 350 passenger aircraft of the Lufthansa Group. The Boeing 777, commonly referred to as the Triple Seven, is an American long haul, long-range Wide-body aircraft, wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. An airline alliance is an aviation industry arrangement between two or more airlines agreeing to cooperate on a substantial level. WOW Alliance was a cargo airline alliance consisting of up to four airlines. History The WOW Alliance has been established in 2000 by the SAS Cargo Group, Lufthansa Cargo and Singapore Airlines Cargo while JAL Cargo joined in July 2002. Lufthansa Cargo subsequently left the WOW Alliance in 2009 while JAL Cargo ended its operations after more than 30 years of service in 2010 and left as well.
