LuckyMe (record Label)
LuckyMe is a United Kingdom–based record label and design studio specialising in the release of new electronic, hip hop, pop, rock and underground dance music. Referred to as "one of the most innovative and prolific independent record labels of the decade" and acclaimed for "distinctive visual arts projects and collaborations". History 2007–2008 The label was founded in Glasgow, Scotland, on 7 July 2007, by Dominic Sum Flannigan; Martyn Flyn; Mike Slott and Ross Birchard, also known as Warp Records recording artist Hudson Mohawke. LuckyMe incorporated producers, rappers and designers, reflecting Flannigan's Art school training. 'We're essentially a record label... but we also function as a design consultancy too. Most of the work we do at the moment is self-originated, though, and that involves all of our record sleeves and flyers.' Hudson Mohawke
Ross Matthew Birchard (born 11 February 1986), better known by the stage name Hudson Mohawke, is a Scottish producer, composer, and DJ from Glasgow. He is known for his work in 21st century hip-hop and electronic music. A founding member of the UK based record label LuckyMe, his fractured take on hip-hop made him a leading figure in the late-2000s wonky scene. He released his debut album ''Butter'' in 2009 on Warp Records. He has followed with the solo albums ''Lantern'' (2015) and '' Cry Sugar'' (2022), both on Warp. Birchard is also one-half of the duo TNGHT with Canadian producer Lunice; their eponymous EP was released in 2012. That year, Birchard signed with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music production team, contributing to the label compilation '' Cruel Summer'' (2012) and West's LP ''Yeezus'' (2013). TNGHT
TNGHT is a musical duo consisting of Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke and Canadian producer Lunice, formed in 2011. The duo released their self-titled debut EP to positive reviews in 2012. They announced an indefinite hiatus in late 2013, until their return in September 2019. Biography Hudson Mohawke (Ross Birchard) and Lunice (Lunice Fermin Pierre II) originally met in 2008, during the first LuckyMe Records tour of North America, when Mohawke performed at the Pop Montreal festival and Lunice played support. Andrey Petrovich Zvyagintsev (, ; born 6 February 1964) is a Russian filmmaker. His film '' The Return'' (2003) won him a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Following ''The Return'', Zvyagintsev directed '' The Banishment'' (2007) and '' Elena'' (2011). Sónar is a festival dedicated to music, creativity and technology, founded in Barcelona in 1994 by Ricard Robles, Enric Palau, and Sergi Caballero.
