The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team represents Louisiana Tech University in college football at the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA NCAA Division I, Division I Football Bowl Subdivision level. After 12 seasons in the Western Athletic Conference, Louisiana Tech began competing as a member of Conference USA in 2013. Since its first season in 1901, Louisiana Tech has compiled an all-time record of 645 wins, 504 losses, and 37 ties. Rivalry in Dixie is the name given to the Louisiana Tech–Southern Miss football rivalry. It is a college football rivalry game between the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and Southern Miss Golden Eagles. History Louisiana Tech won the first game of the series 27–0 on November 28, 1935. La Tech and USM were conference foes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association from 1935 to 1941.
