Nicholas Reece
Nicholas Reece (born 1974) is an Australian politician and policy activist, currently serving as the 105th Lord Mayor of the City of Melbourne. He is a senior executive at the University of Melbourne and a principal fellow at the Melbourne School of Government. He is the chair of the board of directors at the Movember Foundation, and a commentator at Sky News Australia. He previously held a number of roles in politics, including as secretary and campaign director of the Australian Labor Party (Victorian Branch) and as the director of strategy to former Prime Minister Julia Gillard. Reece's early career included time working as a lawyer at Maurice Blackburn (law firm), Maurice Blackburn and as a journalist at The Australian Financial Review. Richard Eades (mayor)
Richard Edes (or Eedes) (1555–1604) was an English churchman. He became Dean of Worcester, and was nominated one of the translators for the Authorised King James Version, in the Second Oxford Company, but died in the earliest stages of the project. Life He was born probably in Bedfordshire, was educated at Westminster School, and was elected student of Christ Church, Oxford in 1571. There he proceeded B.A. 17 December 1574, and M.A. 2 May 1578. Taking orders he was a noted preacher. He was elected university proctor 10 April 1583, proceeded B.D. 6 July 1584, and D.D. 6 July 1590. In favour at court, he had rapid preferment, with prebends at Salisbury (1584), Christ Church (1586), and Hereford (1590). He was made treasurer of Hereford Cathedral and chaplain to the Queen in 1596. On 19 June 1597 he became Dean of Worcester. James Gatehouse (27 March 1883 – 7 December 1949) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong Geelong ( ) (Wathawurrung language, Wathawurrung: ''Djilang''/''Djalang'') is a port city in Victoria, Australia, located at the eastern end of Corio Bay (the smaller western portion of Port Phillip Bay) and the left bank of Barwon River (Victo ... in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Orland Fenwick (1822 – 9 December 1897) was Mayor of Melbourne from 1871–1872, after having joined the council in 1865. Born in Gravesend, Kent in England, Fenwick immigrated to Victoria in November 1852, where he ran a retail and wholesale drapery business. William Bayles
William Bayles (1 November 1820 – 8 October 1903), was a mayor of colonial Melbourne, Australia. Bayles was the second son of William Bayles of Hunderthwaite, Yorkshire, was born in 1820, and emigrated to Tasmania in 1846.
