''Live at the Roseland Ballroom'' is the first live album from Bachman & Turner. It was released on May 29, 2012 worldwide through Eagle Rock Entertainment, and was released as a two-disc set, DVD and digital format. This album contains mostly songs from Randy Bachman and Fred Turner's work in the band Bachman–Turner Overdrive. Paul Shaffer makes a guest appearance on the songs "Shakin' All Over", "Roll On Down The Highway" and "Takin' Care of Business". Background Asked in ''Goldmine'' about the making of the album, Bachman explained: "When we got asked to do a 3-D shoot for PBS, and then we could use the rights for our own DVD and Blu-ray, we thought this was a golden opportunity. Bachman & Turner
Bachman & Turner was a musical project formed by Randy Bachman and Fred Turner, which followed the dissolution of Bachman–Turner Overdrive, though the band would later reform in 2023. Band history The collaboration started out as a Randy Bachman solo project, but Bachman decided to try to get Fred Turner from his old BTO days to contribute vocals on a track: "...So I sent him one called 'Rock n’ Roll is the Only Way Out.' Eagle Rock Entertainment is an international producer and distributor of music films and programming. It operates two record labels (Eagle Records and Armoury Records), a full-service production company (Eagle Rock Productions) and a music publishing subsidiary (Eagle-i Music). Bachman–Turner Overdrive, often abbreviated BTO, is a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, founded by three brothers: Randy Bachman, Randy, Robbie Bachman, Robbie, and Tim Bachman; along with Fred Turner (musician), Fred Turner, in 1973. Their 1970s catalogue included seven Top 40 albums (five in the US) and 11 Top 40 singles in Canada (six in the US). Paul Allen Wood Shaffer (born November 28, 1949) is a Canadian musician, actor, and comedian who served as David Letterman's musical director, bandleader, and sidekick on ''Late Night with David Letterman'' (1982–1993) and ''Late Show with David Letterman'' (1993–2015). Early years Shaffer was born in 1949 in Toronto, and raised in Fort William (now part of Thunder Bay), Ontario, Canada, the son of Shirley and Bernard Shaffer. Mick Dalla-Vee
Mick Dalla-Vee is a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist. Early days He moved to Western Canada, after leaving Bawating High School from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, with the band Shama. Shama toured Western Canada and was managed by Bruce Allen (Bryan Adams, Martina McBride) before disbanding. From that point he became the lead guitarist of Trama, managed by Sam Feldman (Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall), then on to playing bass for the band Paradox which evolved into his current band Cease & Desist.
