''Live at the Basement'' is the third live album by Australian musician Renée Geyer. The album was recorded in May 1986 and released by Mushroom Records. The album was recorded as Geyer's Australian 'farewell', as she boarded a plane to the United States within 12 hours of recording the album. At the ARIA Music Awards of 1987, the album earned Geyer a nomination for Best Female Artist, losing out to Jenny Morris. Renée Rebecca Geyer (11 September 195317 January 2023) was an Australian singer who was an acclaimed jazz, soul and R&B musician.* 1st edition nline * 2nd edition rint She released 15 studio albums with '' Moving Along'' (1977) and '' Tenderland'' (2003) both reaching number 11 on the Australian charts. Steven Lee Cropper (born October 21, 1941), sometimes known as "The Colonel", is an American guitarist, songwriter and record producer. He was the guitarist of the Stax Records house band, Booker T. & the M.G.'s, which backed artists such as Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas and Johnnie Taylor. Stephen Frank Housden (born 1951 in Bedfordshire, England) is an English-born Australian musician. He joined the rock group Little River Band (LRB) in 1981 on lead guitar and vocals and ceased performing with them in 2006.
