Live At Brixton Academy (Motörhead Album)
''25 & Alive: Live at Brixton Academy'' is the seventh live album by the band Motörhead, released as a double live CD in December 2003 on Steamhammer, featuring their 25th anniversary concert at Brixton Academy in London on 22 October 2000. This is their second live album and seventh album released with the label and the first live album under distribution with Sanctuary Records and their subsidiary Metal-Is for North America and certain territories. The concert was filmed and has an accompanying live DVD called '' 25 & Alive Boneshaker'' released in November 2001. Both CD and DVD are exactly the same recordings. Motörhead
Motörhead () were an English rock music, rock band formed in London in 1975 by bassist and lead vocalist Lemmy Kilmister, guitarist Larry Wallis and drummer Lucas Fox. Kilmister was the primary songwriter and only constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to the new wave of British heavy metal, which re-energised heavy metal music, heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Though several guitarists and drummers have played in Motörhead, most of their best-selling albums and singles feature drummer Phil Taylor (musician), Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor and guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke. Doro (musician)
Dorothee Pesch (born 3 June 1964), known professionally as Doro Pesch or simply Doro, is a German heavy metal singer and the former frontwoman of heavy metal band Warlock. Doro's contributions to music and culture made her a global figure in metal culture for over three decades. The name Doro has also been associated with the touring band accompanying the singer, whose members have continuously changed in more than 20 years of uninterrupted activity, the most stable presences being those of bassist Nick Douglas and drummer Johnny Dee. Doro started her career in garage bands in native Düsseldorf underground scene and achieved media visibility and some commercial success with Warlock in the 1980s. Sacrifice (Motörhead Album)
''Sacrifice'' is the twelfth studio album by British rock band Motörhead. It was released on 27 March 1995 via SPV/Steamhammer, the band's first release on the label. It is the second and final album to feature the four-piece lineup of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Mikkey Dee, as Würzel left the band after the album's recording. Recording Motörhead reunited with producer Howard Benson for ''Sacrifice''. "This is a very good album", vocalist and bassist Lemmy wrote in the sleeve notes, "Put it in your system and your girlfriend's clothes fall off." ''1916'' is the ninth studio album by British rock band Motörhead, released in January 1991. It was their first on WTG Records. The single " The One to Sing the Blues" peaked at number 45. The album was the final Motörhead album to feature Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor on drums in its entirety. Background In 1990, Motörhead frontman Lemmy moved from England to the U.S., settling in West Hollywood within walking distance of the Rainbow Bar and Grill. With Phil Carson managing the band, the sessions for what would become the album ''1916'' began with Ed Stasium, best known for producing the Ramones, Talking Heads, and Living Colour. ''Overkill'' is the second studio album by English rock band Motörhead, released on 3 March 1979. It was the band's first album with Bronze Records. ''Kerrang!'' magazine listed the album at number 46 among the "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time". American thrash metal band Overkill was named after this album. "No Class" is a song by the British heavy metal band Motörhead. It was released in 1979 in 7" vinyl pressings. The song first appeared on the 1979 album '' Overkill'', and became one of the "cornerstones" of the classic 1981 live album '' No Sleep 'til Hammersmith''. It is one of the band's "anthems". Micael Kiriakos Delaoglou (born 31 October 1963), known professionally as Mikkey Dee, is a Swedish musician, who has played drums for German heavy metal band Scorpions (band), Scorpions since 2016. He was the drummer for English heavy metal band Motörhead (for which he is still best known to this day) from 1992 until 2015 and has played with other artists including King Diamond (band), King Diamond, Helloween and Don Dokken. Philip Anthony Campbell (born 7 May 1961) is a Welsh Rock music, rock musician, best known as the guitarist in Motörhead from 1984 until its disbandment 2015 upon the death of founder and frontman Lemmy. He currently tours with his own band Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, featuring his three sons: Todd, Dane and Tyla. Early life and career Campbell was born in Pontypridd, and started playing guitar when he was 10 years old, inspired and influenced by guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Jan Akkerman, Michael Schenker and Todd Rundgren. Philip John Taylor (21 September 1954 – 12 November 2015), better known as "Philthy Animal", was an English drummer. He was a member of the Rock music, rock band Motörhead from 1975 to 1984 and 1987 to 1992, recording eleven studio albums and four live albums with the band. The Motörhead line-up consisting of Taylor, Lemmy and Eddie Clarke (musician), "Fast" Eddie Clarke is generally regarded as the 'classic' line-up of the band.
