This is a list of notable shopping malls in the Philippines. The retail industry in the Philippines is an important contributor to the national economy as it accounts for approximately 15% of the country's total Gross National Product (GNP) and 33% of the entire services sector. It employs some 5.25 million people, representing 18% of the country's workforce. The Philippine Retailers Association is the nation's trade group for store owners and mall and shopping center managers. There are over 850 malls in the Philippines. Goa, officially the Municipality of Goa (; ), is a municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 71,368 people. The current municipal mayor is Alfredo P. Gonzaga III, succeeded the Late Mayor Marcel S. Pan. History The town of Goa was originally situated at Barangay Salog, which was then known as "Visita de Salog", comprising the barrios of Lalud (now known as barangay Salog), Himagaan, Matacla, and Payatan. Lalud is found along the banks of Cagaycay River and is about five kilometers away from the present site of the town center. The "Visita" was established in 1701 by Franciscan Missionary Fr. SM City Legazpi is a shopping mall owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings, the largest retail and mall operator in the Philippines. It is located along Imelda C. Roces Avenue corner Terminal Road, Barangay Bitano, Legazpi City, Albay. Opened on September 14, 2018, it is the first SM Supermall in Albay and the second in the Bicol Region following SM City Naga.
