''General Hospital'' is a long-running American television serial drama, airing on ABC. Created by Frank and Doris Hursley, the series premiered on April 1, 1963. Former cast member Rachel Ames was previously the series' longest-running cast member, portraying Audrey Hardy from 1964 to 2007, and making guest appearances in 2009 and 2013, the latter for the series' fiftieth anniversary. Ames made a special appearance on October 30, 2015. Anthony Geary, who has portrayed Luke Spencer, was the fourth longest-running cast member, having joined ''General Hospital'' in November 1978. ''General Hospital'' (often abbreviated as ''GH'') is an American daytime television soap opera created by Frank and Doris Hursley which has been broadcast on American Broadcasting Company, ABC since April 1, 1963. Originally a half-hour serial, its running time was expanded from 30 minutes to 45 minutes on July 26, 1976, and again to a full hour on January 16, 1978. Set in a hospital in the city of Port Charles, New York, ''General Hospital'' originally starred John Beradino and Emily McLaughlin; both actors stayed with the show until their deaths in 1996 and 1991, respectively. They were joined a year later by Rachel Ames who made her most recent appearance in 2015. The show is taped at the Prospect Studios in Los Angeles, California. Kiki Jerome is a fictional character from ''General Hospital'', an American soap opera on the ABC network. The role was originated by Kristen Alderson in 2013 when Kiki was introduced as the troublesome girlfriend of Morgan Corinthos ( Bryan Craig) having gotten him involved in a dangerous gambling ring.
