Durrës ( , ; sq-definite, Durrësi) is the List of cities and towns in Albania#List, second most populous city of the Albania, Republic of Albania and county seat, seat of Durrës County and Durrës Municipality. It is one of Albania's oldest list of oldest continuously inhabited cities, continuously inhabited cities, with roughly 2,500 years of recorded history. Dritan Babamusta (born 6 September 1981) is an Albanian former footballer who played as a midfielder. He has been capped once for Albania. Athanas Spiru, known as Nako Spiru, (4 January 1918 – 20 November 1947) was an Albanian politician and high-ranking official of the Communist Party of Albania (PKSh). He served as Minister of Economy and Industry from 1946 until his untimely death the following year. Early life Nako Spiru was born on 4 January 1918 to a wealthy Orthodox family in the port city of Durrës. He was the third of four children born to teacher Perikli Spiru and Kasiani Papa. Sokol Olldashi (17 December 1972 – 20 November 2013) was an Albanian politician, journalist, and lawyer. A member of the Democratic Party of Albania, he served as Minister of Public Order from 2005 to 2007 and as Minister of Public Works, Transportation, and Telecommunications from 2007 to 2013 in the cabinet of Sali Berisha.
