Kent was a Swedish alternative rock band formed in Eskilstuna in 1990. Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005
The Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005 was Norway's fourth national Melodi Grand Prix Junior for young singers aged 8 to 15. It was held on May 28, 2005, in Oslo Spektrum, Oslo, Norway with a live broadcast of an hour and 15 minutes presented by Stian Barsnes-Simonsen and Nadia Hasnaoui. 10 participants competed, The contest was won by 9-year-old Malin Reitan with her song "Sommer og skolefri". She received the award out of the hands of @lek, who won the 2004 contest. During the interval, Wig Wam performed "In My Dreams" and Jorun Stiansen performed "This Is the Night". Malin, who didn't turn 10 until August, went on to represent Norway in the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, where she placed 3rd. ''Out of Exile'' is the second studio album by American rock supergroup Audioslave, released on May 23, 2005, internationally, and a day later in the United States, through Epic Records and Interscope Records. Audioslave was an American Rock music, rock supergroup (music), supergroup formed in Glendale, California, in 2001. The four-piece band consisted of Soundgarden's lead singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell with Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello (lead guitar), Tim Commerford (bass/backing vocals), and Brad Wilk (drums). ''Idol: Jakten pÃ¥ en superstjerne 2005'' was the third season of Idol Norway based on the British singing competition ''Pop Idol''. It began one year after the second season and was aired in the first half of 2005. Ingrid Gjessing was replaced by KÃ¥re Magnus Bergh and with Jan Fredrik Karlsen's departure the entire judging panel was changed with Tone-Lise Skagefoss becoming the new jury foreperson. It was also the first time that two girls faced off each other in the final 2 showdown making Jorun Stiansen the first female winner over Tone Damli Aaberge. Aaberge would attempt to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 where she ended up being the runner-up, this time to Alexander Rybak who later went on to win the contest. Ironically Rybak has also been a contestant on ''Idol 2005'' and in the same semifinal group as Aaberge. Ã…ge Aleksandersen (born 21 March 1949) is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is one of his country's best known musicians. Some of his most well known songs are "Lys og varme" ("Light and Warmth"), "Fire pils og en pizza" ("Four Beers and a Pizza") and "Rosalita". Together with Sambandet, he participated in Melodi Grand Prix 1980 with the song "Bjørnen sover" ("The Bear Is Sleeping"), ultimately coming second. He also wrote and performed "Snørosa" ("The Snowrose"), the official song of the 1997 Nordic skiing World Championship (held in Trondheim) together with two other musicians from the region, Ulf Risnes and Bjarne Brøndbo and the Nidaros Cathedral Boys' Choir. Øystein Sunde
Øystein Olaf Sunde (born 24 January 1947) is a Norwegian folk singer and guitarist. He is known for his high-speed guitar and banjo style and his satirical lyrics. Although often regarded as a comedian, Sunde is a versatile guitarist who has played with several Dixieland bands and jazz combos over the years. Early years He was born 24 January 1947 in Oslo, but his family moved to Skarnes in 1954 where Sunde went to school. In 1955, the family moved back to Lambertseter in Oslo and Sunde continued school there. The same year he started playing piano, but he did not like this because he was forced to rehearse scales and partially because his teacher could play boogiewoogie and Sunde was not allowed to do so by his teacher. Despite protests from his parents he ended his piano playing career at the age of 7.
