Vlorë
Vlorë ( ; ; sq-definite, Vlora) is the List of cities and towns in Albania, third most populous city of Albania and seat of Vlorë County and Vlorë Municipality. Located in southwestern Albania, Vlorë sprawls on the Bay of Vlorë and is surrounded by the foothills of the Ceraunian Mountains along the Albanian Adriatic Sea Coast, Albanian Adriatic and Albanian Ionian Sea Coast, Ionian Sea Coasts. It experiences a Mediterranean climate, which is affected by the Ceraunian Mountains and the proximity to the Mediterranean Sea. The coastal area of Vlorë was one of the Illyrians, Illyrian sites that had experienced pre-urban activity beginning from the 11th–10th centuries BC. The area was Greek colonisation, colonized by Ancient Greece, Ancient Greeks. Albanian Declaration Of Independence
The Albanian Declaration of Independence (Albanian language, Albanian: ''Deklarata e Pavarësisë'') was the declaration of independence of Albania from the Ottoman Empire. Independent Albania was proclaimed in Vlorë on 28 November 1912. Six days later the Assembly of Vlorë formed the first Government of Albania which was led by Ismail Qemali and the Council of Elders (Pleqnia). The success of the Albanian revolt of 1912, Albanian Revolt of 1912 sent a strong signal to the neighboring countries that the Ottoman Empire was weak. Abedin Nepravishta
Abedin Nepravishta (19 September 1889 – 1975) was an Albanian politician. He was twice mayor of Tirana, in 1933–1935 and 1937–1939. Biography Nepravishta was born on 19 September 1889 in Kuç. His parents then moved to Libohovë. He went everywhere including to Istanbul to follow the Imperial School of High Administration. He has served as major in different districts in Albania (Shkodër, Durrës, Elbasan, Korçë, Dibër) under the reign of King Zog of Albania. He was the major who approved the first modern urbanistic city plan of Tirana as a capital city, designed by Arch. Armando Brasini, and began its application on site. He settled modern day's Tirana urbanistic plan, the plan which is still being applied today. Ermal Dredha
Ermal Dredha (born 15 October 1977) is an Albanian diplomat and politician, currently serving as Mayor of Vlora. He previously held various positions in Albania’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, including as Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and Director of State Protocol. Early life and education Born in Vlora, Albania, Dredha graduated with a bachelor's degree in Italian and English from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana (1996–2000). He also obtained a certification in Information Technology from an institute in Tirana in 2000.
