Lezhë
Lezhë (, sq-definite, Lezha) is a List of cities and towns in Albania, city in the Republic of Albania and seat of Lezhë County and Lezhë Municipality. It is one of Albania's List of oldest continuously inhabited cities, oldest continuously inhabited cities, with roughly 2,400 years of recorded history. One of the main strongholds of the Labeatae, Labeatai, the earliest of the fortification walls of Lezhë are of typical Illyrians, Illyrian construction and are dated to the late 4th century BC. Lezhë was one of the main centres of the Illyrian kingdom. During the conflicts with Macedon, it was captured by Philip V of Macedon, Philip V becoming the Macedonian outlet to the Adriatic Sea. The city was later recovered by the Illyrians. It was subjected to Roman Republic, Rome after the Roman-Illyrian wars and the fall of Gentius' realm. Albanian Declaration Of Independence
The Albanian Declaration of Independence (Albanian language, Albanian: ''Deklarata e Pavarësisë'') was the declaration of independence of Albania from the Ottoman Empire. Independent Albania was proclaimed in Vlorë on 28 November 1912. Six days later the Assembly of Vlorë formed the first Government of Albania which was led by Ismail Qemali and the Council of Elders (Pleqnia). Pjerin Ndreu
Pjerin Ndreu (born December 12, 1966) is an Albanian politician and former police official who has served as Mayor of Lezhë since August 2019. He was previously a member of the Albanian Parliament from 2013 to 2019 and held numerous senior positions in the Albanian State Police. Early life and education Ndreu was born in the town of Pukë, then part of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania. In 1988, he graduated from the Higher Police School of the Ministry of Interior and began working as a criminal police inspector in Lezhë. He later completed his law degree at the University of Tirana. Police career Ndreu held several key positions within the Albanian police system during the 1990s and early 2000s.
