This is a list of islands in the Atlantic Ocean, the largest of which is Greenland. Note that the definition of the ocean used by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) excludes the seas, gulfs, bays, etc., bordering the ocean itself. Thus, for instance, not all of the islands of the United Kingdom are actually ''in'' or ''bordering on'' the Atlantic. For reference, islands in gulfs and seas are included in a separate section. Flores Island (; ) is an island of the Western Group () of the Azores. It has an area of 143 km2, a population of 3428 inhabitants, and, together with Corvo Island of the western archipelago, lies within the North American Plate. Graciosa, Canary Islands
Graciosa Island or commonly La Graciosa (; Spanish for "the graceful") is a volcanic island in the Canary Islands of Spain, located north of Lanzarote across the Strait of El Río.
