This list of governors of Kasaï Oriental Province includes governors of the former Kasaï-Oriental (former province), Kasaï-Oriental Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, created in 1966 by merging Lomami Province (former), Lomami, Sankuru and Sud-Kasaï provinces, which had been split from the former Kasaï province. It also contains lists of governors of the three predecessor provinces. Kasaï Oriental was split in 2015 into the new, smaller Kasaï-Oriental, Lomami Province, Lomami and Sankuru provinces. Joseph Ngalula
Joseph Ngalula Mpandajila (Lusambo, 12 December 1928 – 5 February 2001) was a Congolese writer and politician who played a prominent role in the Kasai secession of the early 1960s. Biography Joseph Ngalula was born on 12 December 1928 in Lusambo, Belgian Congo to a Baluba family. He undertook six years of primary education and five years of professional courses. He was fluent in English and French. He served as editor of the publication ''Presence Congolaise'', a weekly paper written by and for the Congolese population, which was placed as an insert within ''Le Courrier d'Afrique''. In June 1960 Barthélemy Mukenge was elected President of Kasai Province by the provincial assembly. Unhappy with the results, on 14 June the assembly opposition declared their own provincial government under Ngalula. Boji Ntole
Bodji was one of the 180 Aanaas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. It is divided between Bodji Choqorsa and Bodji Dirmaji. Part of the West Welega Zonee, Bodji was bordered on the southwest by Ayra Guliso, on the west by Jarso, on the northwest by Nejo, on the northeast by the Benishangul-Gumuz Region, and on the southeast by Lalo Asabi. Towns in Bodji included Bila and Muklami. Coffee is an important cash crop in Bodji. Over 50 square kilometers are planted with this crop.
