Television In Bosnia And Herzegovina
Television in Bosnia and Herzegovina was first introduced in 1961. Out of 94 TV stations, 71 are commercial, 20 are public (regional, local or municipal ownership), while 3 public services are funded through subscription. History First broadcasting in Bosnia and Herzegovina started in 1961 when ''Radio-Televizija Sarajevo'' began its programme although without its own TV studio at that time (it used Radio Sarajevo's premises for this purpose). Korean Central Television
Korean Central Television (KCTV; ) is a North Korean television service operated by the Korean Central Broadcasting Committee, a state-owned broadcaster in North Korea. It is broadcast terrestrially via the Pyongyang TV Tower in Moranbong-guyok, Pyongyang, streamed via the government-run internet television service Manbang, and also uplinked via satellite. History KCTV was established on 1 September 1953, as Pyongyang Television after the Korean War ended. Kim Il Sung personally envisioned that the time was ripe for television broadcasting in North Korea, but this was not yet to happen. Thus, the young service began an 8-year period of preparation for commencement of television broadcasts, with the help of the national government. Mansudae Television
Mansudae Television () is a state-owned entertainment television channel based in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It broadcasts movies, selected foreign films and entertainment programming every weekend with occasional advertising. Mansudae began transmissions on 1 December 1973, and broadcasts for three hours (19:00–22:00) on Saturdays, and nine hours (10:00–13:00, 16:00–22:00) on Sundays. From its inception to 13 July 2015, broadcasting was carried out on channel 5 from the Pyongyang TV Tower and a special app on the Samjiyon tablet computer. In August 2016, the channel was added to the Manbang IPTV service, being available on the second button of the "Aircast" section. Kaesong Television
Kaesong (, ; ) is a special city in the southern part of North Korea (formerly in North Hwanghae Province), and the capital of Korea during the Taebong kingdom and subsequent Goryeo dynasty. The city is near the Kaesong Industrial Region close to the border with South Korea and contains the remains of the Manwoldae palace. Called Songdo while it was the ancient capital of Goryeo, the city prospered as a trade centre that produced Korean ginseng. Kaesong now functions as North Korea's light industry centre. During the Japanese occupation from 1910 to 1945, the city was known by the Japanese pronunciation of its name, "Kaijō". Between 1945 and 1950, Kaesong was part of South Korea and under its control. Fiji TV
Fiji Television Limited is one of Fiji's main television networks. It was founded on 15 June 1994 as the first permanent commercial television broadcasting network in the country, although television had previously been introduced temporarily in October 1991 to broadcast the Rugby World Cup as well as Cricket World Cup. This was reviewed and reissued in 2000 for a term of 12 years. Fiji TV was listed as a public company in 1996 on the Suva Stock Exchange, now known as the South Pacific Stock Exchange. Fiji TV owns Fiji's premier free-to-view channel (FTA) Fiji One, and formerly the pay TV service, Sky Pacific, which was acquired by Digicel in 2016. Akrotiri and Dhekelia (), officially the Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia (SBA), is a British Overseas Territories, British Overseas Territory made of two non-contiguous areas on the island of Geography of Cyprus, Cyprus. 1 FL TV is Liechtenstein's first television broadcaster. It began operation on 15 August 2008 and broadcasts in German. Through cable networks, the channel is accessible to about 50,000 homes in Liechtenstein and a small portion of its neighboring Switzerland. Before the channel launched, people in Liechtenstein watched Austrian and Swiss TV channels instead. History On 15 August 2008, 1 FL TV began operation after being licensed by the Liechtenstein government under the leadership of businessman Peter Kölbel. It broadcasts in German and is a business venture led by Austrian businesswoman Beatrix Schartl after Kölbel's death.
