Comedian
A comedian (feminine comedienne) or comic is a person who seeks to entertainment, entertain an audience by making them laughter, laugh. This might be through jokes or amusing situations, or acting foolishly (as in slapstick), or employing prop comedy. A comedian who addresses an audience directly is called a stand-up comedy, stand-up comedian. A popular saying often attributed to Ed Wynn states: "A comic says funny things; a comedian says things funny." This draws a distinction between how much of the comedy (drama), comedy can be attributed to verbal content and how much to acting and persona. Since the 1980s, a new wave of comedy, called alternative comedy, has grown in popularity with its more offbeat and experimental style. Scott Adsit
Robert Scott Adsit (born November 26, 1965) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Adsit joined the mainstage cast of Chicago's The Second City in 1994 after attending Columbia College Chicago. He appeared in several revues, including ''Paradigm Lost'' for which he won The Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Comedy. From 2005 to 2008, he codirected, co-wrote and coproduced the Adult Swim stop-motion animation program '' Moral Orel'' with Dino Stamatopoulos and Jay Johnston. He also voiced several characters and was nominated for an Annie Award for his work as Clay Puppington, Orel's father. Nasser bin Qassim Al Qasabi (, born 28 November 1961 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) is a Saudi Arabian actor. He started his acting career in 1984 and is known for his various roles in the series ''Tash Ma Tash'' (Arabic: طاش ما طاش). He graduated from King Saud University in Riyadh. He began his acting journey in the university theater. He became famous alongside Abdullah Al-Sadhan for the comedy series ''Tash Ma Tash'', which they both starred in for 18 seasons over two decades. Nawaal Akram
Nawaal Akram () is a Qatari comedian, model, athlete and disability rights campaigner. She was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of six, and was forcefully removed from education against her wishes at the age of 10 by the school; she became a wheelchair user at the age of 12. She has since founded Muscular Dystrophy Qatar to raise awareness of the condition, and was named one of BBC's '' 100 Women'' programme in 2017.
