Zlín Region
Zlín Region () is an administrative unit () of the Czech Republic, located in the south-eastern part of the historical region of Moravia. It is named after its capital Zlín. Together with the Olomouc Region it forms a cohesion area of Central Moravia. It is located in the eastern part of the Czech Republic, where the borders with Slovakia (Trenčín and Žilina Regions) are formed by its eastern edge. It borders the South Moravian Region in the southwest, the Olomouc Region in the northwest and the Moravian-Silesian Region in the north. Kelč (; ) is a town in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,700 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone. Hovězí is a municipality and village in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,400 inhabitants. Etymology The name of the municipality literally means 'beef' in Czech. Geography Hovězí is located about southeast of Vsetín and east of Zlín. Hošťálková
Hošťálková is a municipality and village in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,300 inhabitants. Geography Hošťálková is located about west of Vsetín and northeast of Zlín. It lies in the Hostýn-Vsetín Mountains. The highest point is the mountain Maruška at above sea level. The Ratibořka Stream originates here and flows across the municipality. History The first written mention of Hošťálková is from 1505, but the village was probably founded in the 14th century.
