The following is an independently list of best-selling albums in Brazil. This list can contain any types of album, including studio albums, extended plays, greatest hits, compilation album, compilations, various artists, Soundtrack album, soundtracks and remix album, remixes. The list is divided by claimed sales from diverse media reports and certified units from Pro-Música Brasil when their certification program started in 1990; and thereafter by domestic (over 1 million) and international artists (over half-million). ''Xuxa 5'' is the seventh studio album by Brazilian recording artist Xuxa Meneghel. It was released on August 1, 1990, by Som Livre. It was the fifth album in the series ''Xou de Xuxa''. The best-known songs from this album are "Pinel Por Você", "Trem Fantasma" and mainly " Lua de Cristal". The album sold more than 1.8 million copies in Brazil. Legião Urbana
Legião Urbana (Portuguese for Urban Legion) was a Brazilian rock band formed in 1982 in Brasília, Federal District (Brazil), Distrito Federal. The band primarily consisted of Renato Russo (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), Dado Villa-Lobos (guitar), Renato Rocha (bassist), Renato Rocha (bass), and Marcelo Bonfá (drums, keyboards). Rocha left the band in 1989, and the band continued as a trio until their disbandment, with Russo becoming the band's ''de facto'' bassist after Rocha's departure. Sandy & Junior were a Brazilian pop music duo consisting of siblings Sandy Leah Lima (born January 28, 1983) and Durval de Lima Júnior (born April 11, 1984). They first gained notoriety by being the children of Xororó from popular sertanejo duo Chitãozinho & Xororó. É o Tchan! is a pagode band from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil that started in 1992. History Originally called Gera Samba, they debuted with their hit single ''Pau Que Nasce Torto / Melô do Tchan, Segura o Tchan''. Their first album, called ''É o Tchan'' (1995), sold triple platinum. ''Xegundo Xou da Xuxa'' () is the third studio album by Brazilian recording artist Xuxa Meneghel, released on June 23, 1987 by Som Livre. The album sold over 3.2 million copies. It is one of the most popular albums of Xuxa's career, surpassing sales in the previous album '' Xou da Xuxa'' (1986). Production For this album, Xuxa received about 900 songs from various composers. Of this large amount, between 15 and 20 songs were recorded and 13 were released, not counting with the participation of Patricia Marx in the disc.
