The action film is a film genre that predominantly features chase sequences, fights, shootouts, explosions, and stunt work. The specifics of what constitutes an action film has been in scholarly debate since the 1980s. While some scholars such as David Bordwell suggested they were films that favor spectacle to storytelling, others such as Geoff King stated they allow the scenes of spectacle to be attuned to storytelling. John Roger Spottiswoode (born 5 January 1945) is a Canadian-British director, editor and writer of film and Television program, television. Early life He was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and was raised in Britain. His father Raymond Spottiswoode was a British film theoretician who worked at the National Film Board of Canada during the 1940s, directing short films such as ''Wings of a Continent''. Juan Marasigan Feleo (February 28, 1948 – November 19, 2009), known professionally as Johnny Delgado, was a Filipino television and movie actor, comedian, and writer. ''All for the Winner'' () is a 1990 Hong Kong comedy film, directed by Jeffrey Lau and Corey Yuen, and starring Stephen Chow. It was the first movie ever in Hong Kong to cross the HK$40 million (HK$41,326,156.00) mark in the Hong Kong box office.
