The Amazing Spider-Man
''The Amazing Spider-Man'' is an ongoing American superhero American comic book, comic book series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man as its title character and main protagonist. Being in the Earth 616, mainstream continuity of the franchise, it was the character's first title, launching seven months after his introduction in the final issue of ''Amazing Fantasy''. The series began publication with a March 1963 cover date and has been published nearly continuously to date over six volumes with only one significant interruption. Issues of the title currently feature an issue number within its sixth volume, as well as a "legacy" number reflecting the issue's overall number across all ''Amazing Spider-Man'' volumes. The title reached 900 issues in 2022. The series began as a bimonthly periodical before being increased to monthly after four issues. Doctor Octopus (Dr. Otto Octavius), also known as Doc Ock for short, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #3 (July 1963). He is a highly intelligent, myopic, and stocky mad scientist who sports four strong and durable appendages resembling an octopus's tentacles, which extend from his body and can be used for various purposes. The Enforcers are a team of supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as adversaries of the superheroes Spider-Man and Daredevil. The original Enforcers consisted of Montana (Jackson Brice), the Ox (Raymond Bloch), and Fancy Dan (Daniel Brito). Publication history The Enforcers first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #10 (March 1964), and were created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist and co-plotter Steve Ditko. Frederick Foswell, also known as the Big Man and Patch, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history Frederick Foswell first appeared, as the Big Man, in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #10 (March 1964), and was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Electro () is the collective name of two supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the first Electro is Maxwell "Max" Dillon, who first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #9 in February 1964 and has since become one of the superhero Spider-Man's most enduring enemies, belonging to the collective of adversaries that make up his List of Spider-Man enemies, rogues gallery. In the Marvel Universe, Max Dillon is a Lineworker, lineman who gains the ability to generate and control electricity after being struck by lightning.
