Szombathelyi Haladás
Szombathelyi Haladás (), is a Hungarian football club based in Szombathely. ''Haladás'' is the Hungarian word for ''progress''. The club, which was founded in 1919, plays its home games at the Haladás Sportkomplexum which has a capacity of 8,903. The club colours are green and white. Haladás reached the Hungarian Cup final in the years 1975, 1993 and 2002. Since its first promotion in 1936 the club has spent 51 seasons in the first division of the Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság I (NB I). History The yoyo years Since 1919 the club have been famous for their yoyo between the Hungarian First Division and the Hungarian Second Division. The club were unable to strengthen their stay in the first league which resulted a continuous yoyo effect. 1930s Szombathely won the 1935-36 Nyugatmagyarországi LASz and were promoted for the first time to the first division. Béla Volentik
Béla Volentik (5 December 1907 – 27 October 1990) was a Hungarian footballer and football manager. He played for Nemzeti SC, Újpest, FC Lugano and with the bronze medal winning Hungary national team at the 1960 Summer Olympics at Rome, Italy. He capped once. He started his coaching career in Switzerland with FC Aarau and went on to coach FC St. Gallen, BSC Young Boys, FC Lugano and Lausanne Sport. He then had a stint with the Luxembourg national football team before coming back to Hungary where he coached Bp. József Albert
József Albert (7 May 1912 – 16 April 1994) was a Hungarian association football, football player and coach. He played his entire career for Szegedi AK (1930–1941). Following his retirement as a player, he coached several Hungarian teams (1941–1970), in addition to the Syria national football team, Syria (1956–1959) and Lebanon national football team, Lebanon (1967) national teams. Playing career Albert played for Szegedi AK from 1930 until 1941. Managerial career Albert mainly coached Hungarian teams such as FK Sport Bezdan, Szegedi AK, Komlói Bányász SK, Videoton FC, Szombathelyi Haladás VSE and Vasas SC. Tibor Kemény
Tibor Kemeny (5 March 1913 – 25 September 1992) also referred to as Kemeny Tibor, was a Hungarian football player and coach, who played as a striker (association football), striker for Ferencvárosi TC, Ferencváros and the Hungary national football team, Hungary national team (nine caps). He was part of the team in the 1934 World Cup. He played one match in World Cup, against Austria national football team, Austria in the quarter finals (Hungary lost 2–1). With Ferencváros, he faced Juventus FC, Juventus twice in 1938. As a coach, he managed Ujpest FC in the 1949–50 season, and Olympiacos F.C., Olympiacos in 1957–58. Imre Szabó (footballer)
Imre Szabó (born 1 April 1953) is a Hungarian politician, who served as Minister of Environment and Water between 2008 and 2010. He was also a member of the National Assembly (MP) from 1998 to 2014. Youth and sports movements Szabó was born in Esztergom on 1 April 1953. He finished his secondary studies at the Dobó Katalin Secondary Grammar School at his birthplace in 1971. After graduating from the Teacher Training College in 1977, he obtained a degree in physical education at the Gyula Juhász Teacher Training College in Szeged, and at the same time a degree in football coaching at the College of Physical Education.
