Since the inception of ''Strictly Come Dancing'' in 2004, several special editions of the show have been transmitted by the BBC each year. These have included seasonal specials, charity specials, and variations of the ''Strictly Come Dancing'' format. Christmas Specials The Christmas Specials of ''Strictly Come Dancing'' have been aired each year since 2004. Between 2004 and 2009, the specials feature celebrities from the current and past series. Between 2010 and 2013 and 2021 onwards, the specials featured celebrities who were unable to compete in the main series due to time constrictions. From 2014 to 2019, the specials again featured contestants from previous series. Strictly Come Dancing
''Strictly Come Dancing'' (commonly referred to as ''Strictly'') is a British dance contest show in which celebrities partner with professional dancers to compete in mainly Ballroom dance, ballroom and Latin dance, Latin dance. Each couple is scored by a panel of judges. The title of the show is a continuation of the long-running series ''Come Dancing''. The format has been exported to 60 other countries under the title ''Dancing with the Stars'', licensed by BBC Worldwide, and led to a modern dance-themed spin-off ''Strictly Dance Fever''. The ''Guinness World Records'' named ''Strictly'' as the world's most successful reality television format in 2010. The series is currently presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Rachel Lauren Stevens (born 9 April 1978) is an English singer and actress. She has been a member of the pop group S Club, which was active from 1998 to 2003, and has reformed once again since 2023. Janette Manrara Škorjanec (born November 16, 1983) is an American singer, choreographer and professional dancer, and television presenter. Harry Mark Christopher Judd (born 23 December 1985) is an English musician who is the drummer for the rock band McFly. Early life and education Judd was born in Chelmsford, Essex in southern England, the youngest of three children. He is the son of Emma and Christopher Judd. Aliona Valeriya Kavanagh (''née'' Vilani on 1 May 1984; ), also known by her stage name Aliona Vilani, is a Russian-Kazakh TV personality and was a professional dancer in the BBC series of ''Strictly Come Dancing''.
