The tenth term of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland was elected at the 2023 Polish parliamentary election. They represent 41 electoral districts all of which are multi-member districts. They sit as part of the lower house of the 10th term Sejm and 11th term Senate of Poland. 2023 Polish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Poland on 15 October 2023 to elect members of the Sejm and Senate of Poland, Senate. A 2023 Polish referendum, referendum containing four questions concerning economic and immigration policy of the government was held simultaneously. In the previous 2019 Polish parliamentary election, the ruling right-wing Law and Justice (Poland), Law and Justice Party (PiS) had held onto its majority in the Sejm with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki forming Second Cabinet of Mateusz Morawiecki, a second government. The PiS sought to win a third term which would be unprecedented in Polish history. The opposition, including the Civic Platform, Civic Platform Party and others, secured a Senate majority. Wirtualna Polska (WP ) (lit. Virtual Poland) is a group of companies operating in the media and e-commerce sectors. TVN24 is a Polish 24-hour commercial news channel, launched on 9 August 2001. Being a part of the TVN Network, TVN24 has been owned since 2018 by US-based media company Warner Bros. Discovery ( Discovery, Inc. before 2022). It gained broader popularity after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the US, which was the first major incident to be covered by TVN24. The Third Way (, TD) is a political alliance in Poland that was formed on 27 April 2023, before the 2023 parliamentary election. The coalition's aim is to provide an alternative to both Law and Justice and Civic Platform, the dominant political parties in Poland since the 2000s. Włodzimierz Skalik (born 10 June 1959) is a Polish politician, businessman and pilot who serves as a member of the 10th term Sejm. Early life and education Skalik was born in Radomsko. He studied at the National Defense University of Warsaw. Skalik began his aviation training at the Częstochowa Aero Club (a regional branch of the Polish Aero Club) in 1975. Marek Jakubiak (born 30 April 1959) is a Polish politician and brewer, who has served as President of WR since 2024. He has also served as Secretary-General of Kukiz'15 since 2023.
