List Of Polish Football Champions
The Polish football champions are the annual winners of Poland's premier annual Association football, football competition. The title has been contested since 1920 in varying forms of competition. From 1921 to 1926 the championship was decided in a series of tournaments until the Ekstraklasa, league was formed in 1927. Since then the title was awarded the winners of the highest league in Polish football. In 1951 the title was awarded to the winner of the Polish Cup. Warta Poznań () is a multi-sports club based in Poznań, Poland. The name means ''the Guard'' in Polish and also the name of the river Warta on which Poznań is located. 1926 Polish Football Championship
1926 Polish Football Championship was the 6th edition of the Polish Football Championship (Non-League) and 5th completed season ended with the selection of a winner. The championship was decided in final tournament played among nine teams ( winners of the regional A-Class championship) participated in the league which was divided into 3 groups: a Northern, a Southern and a Western one. The winners of each groups, Polonia Warsaw, Pogoń Lwów and Warta Poznań, played a Final Group tournament. The champions were Pogoń Lwów, who won their 4th Polish title. It was the last edition of the Polish championships during the Second Polish Republic played in a non-league formula, because in 1927–1939 the champion of the country was chosen in the league. 1921 Polish Football Championship was the 2nd edition of the Polish Football Championship (Non-League) and 1st completed season ended with the selection of a winner. The championship was decided in final tournament played among five teams ( winners of the regional A-Class championship). The champions were Cracovia, who won their 1st Polish title. Competition modus The final tournament started on 21 August 1921 and concluded on 30 October 1921 (spring-autumn system). The season was played as a round-robin tournament. The team at the top of the standings won the title. A total of 5 teams participated. Each team played a total of 8 matches, half at home and half away, two games against each other team. Garbarnia Kraków is a Polish football and sports club from Ludwinów, a historical district of the city of Kraków. The club's name comes from the nearby tannery () of the Dłużyński brothers, which was the original club sponsor. After withdrawing from the III liga before the start of the 2024–25 season, Garbarnia currently competes in the western group of the V liga Lesser Poland. The Warsaw Uprising (; ), sometimes referred to as the August Uprising (), or the Battle of Warsaw, was a major World War II operation by the Polish resistance movement in World War II, Polish underground resistance to liberate Warsaw from German occupation.
