GTV9
GTV is a commercial television station in Melbourne, Australia, owned by the Nine Network. The station is currently based at studios at 717 Bourke Street, Docklands. GTV-9 is the home of the Australian Open tennis coverage. History GTV-9 was amongst the first television stations to begin regular transmission in Australia. Test transmissions began on 27 September 1956, introduced by former 3DB radio announcer Geoff Corke, based at the Mount Dandenong transmitter, as the studios in Richmond were not yet ready. The station covered the 1956 Summer Olympics which Melbourne hosted., the 1956 Carols By Candlelight and the Davis Cup tennis as part of its test transmissions. The station was officially opened on 19 January 1957 by Victorian Governor Sir Dallas Brooks from the studios in Bendigo Street, Richmond. Desert Vet
''Desert Vet'' is an Australian factual television series. It follows the work of emergency veterinarian Dr Rick Fenny. The series is filmed in Western Australian locations such as Karratha, Port Hedland, Shark Bay and Kalgoorlie. Fenny is best known as the veterinarian of Red Dog. He is joined by his marine biologist son Ed and daughter Louisa, who is also a vet. The series is narrated by Charles Wooley. Desert Vet was screened as a pilot on the Seven Network in 2018 before screening as a series on the Nine Network and UKTV in 2019. ''Travel Guides'' is an Australian travel series which premiered on the Nine Network on 14 February 2017. The series follows groups of ordinary Australians who take on the job of travel critics who experience the same week-long international and domestic holidays, and review the same accommodation, cuisine, and local sights. The series is based on a similar programme of the same name made by UK production company Studio Lambert in 2015. In May 2017, the series was renewed for a second season. In October 2017, the series second season was officially confirmed at Nine's upfronts with three travel guide groups from the first season set to return. The Summit (TV Series)
The Summit is an Australian reality television series which first premiered on 14 May 2023. The premise being that a group of contestants have to reach the top of a mountain, undertaking various tasks along the way. Each contestant has a backpack with a portion of the grand prize of A$1,000,000. The series is produced by Nine Network and Endemol Shine Australia. Auditions for a second season opened in August 2023, with filming to take place over three weeks between November and December 2023. Season two premiered on Sunday, 12 May 2024. In October 2024, the series was not renewed and won’t return in 2025. Format Contestants must all inevitably work together to complete several tasks, within only fourteen days. They are initially strangers to each other. The ''Lego Masters Bricksmas Specials'' are the Christmas specials of the Australian reality television series '' Lego Masters''. Hamish Blake and Ryan "The Brickman" McNaught returned as hosts for the specials. The first special, broadcast in two parts, aired on 21 and 28 November 2021. The second Christmas special, also a two-parter, aired on 20 and 27 November 2022. The specials feature celebrities pairing up with past ''Lego Masters'' contestants to compete.
