Kurdish Language
Kurdish (, , ) is a Northwestern Iranian languages, Northwestern Iranian language or dialect continuum, group of languages spoken by Kurds in the region of Kurdistan, namely in southeast Turkish Kurdistan, Turkey, northern Iraqi Kurdistan, Iraq, northwest Iranian Kurdistan, Iran, and northern Syrian Kurdistan, Syria. It is also spoken in northeast Iran, as well as in certain areas of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Kurdish Variety (linguistics), varieties constitute a dialect continuum, with some Mutual intelligibility, mutually unintelligible varieties, and collectively have 26 million native speakers. The main varieties of Kurdish are Kurmanji, Sorani, and Southern Kurdish (). The majority of the Kurds speak Kurmanji, and most Kurdish texts are written in Kurmanji and Sorani. Kurmanji is written in the Hawar alphabet, a derivation of the Latin script, and Sorani is written in the Sorani alphabet, a derivation of the Arabic script. Asman HD
Asman () is the Avestan language, Avestan and Middle Persian name of the Zoroastrianism, Zoroastrian divinity that is the hypostasis of the sky. Asman is the "highest heaven," and is distinguished from the firmament, (), which lies nearer the earth. The 27th day of the Zoroastrian calendar is dedicated to him. In the Veda, () means 'sky'. It also means "stone" so the specific sense in reference to the sky is as "stony firmament". In the Avesta, specifically in the Vendidad, the word is mentioned as being the first thing created. AVA Media is a Kurdish broadcasting station, based in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. It started its broadcast on March 20, 2019, with television programs in the Kurdish dialects of Sorani and Kurmanci, as well as English. The channel is founded and owned by Mustafa Bayram. Programming AVA Media is an news, art and entertainment channel transmitting worldwide from the Eutelsat 7 West A on 11354 Hz Vertical, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 and Eutelsat 7C East on 11689 Hz Vertical, SR 5040, FEC 4/5. The channel airs entertainment programs based on "Kurdish culture and values", and covers entertainment events in Iraq and Kurdistan Region. AVA Entertainment offers a radio broadcast in Kurdistan.
