The list of characters from the animated television series '' Jem'' and the live-action film ''Jem and the Holograms''. Several ''Jem'' characters were named after pioneers in the history of holography. Jem (TV Series)
''Jem and The Holograms'', also known as simply ''Jem'', is an American animated musical television series that ran from 1985 to 1988. The series is about record company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, and the adventures of her band Jem and The Holograms. The series was a joint collaboration by Hasbro, Sunbow Entertainment, Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions, the same team responsible for ''G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985 TV series), G.I. Joe'' and ''The Transformers (TV series), Transformers''. The creator of the series, Christy Marx, had also been a staff writer for the aforementioned programs. Emmett Leith
Emmett Norman Leith (March 12, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan – December 23, 2005 in Ann Arbor, Michigan) was a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Michigan and, with Juris Upatnieks of the University of Michigan, the co-inventor of three-dimensional holography. Leith received his B.S. in physics from Wayne State University in 1949 and his M.S. in physics in 1952. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Wayne State in 1978. Much of Leith's holographic work was an outgrowth of his research on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) performed while a member of the Radar Laboratory of the University of Michigan's Willow Run Laboratory beginning in 1952. Patricia Alice Albrecht (January 30, 1953 – December 25, 2019) was an American actress, writer and poet. She was best known for her role of Phyllis "Pizzazz" Gabor, the antagonistic lead singer of the fictional band The Misfits in the animated television series '' Jem'' from 1985 to 1988. Her other voiceover work included the animated series '' The New Yogi Bear Show'', '' The Snorks'', and ''New Kids on the Block''. Linda Dangcil
Linda Dangcil (June 19, 1941 – May 7, 2009) was an American actress and dancer best known for her roles as Sister Ana in the ABC television series '' The Flying Nun'' and Carmen 'Raya' Alonso in the animated series '' Jem''. Dangcil was a native of San Francisco, California. She graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles. She returned to the high school throughout her career to choreograph and assist the school's theater productions.
