IDW Publishing is an American publisher of comic books, graphic novels, art books, and comic strip collections. It was founded in 1999 as the publishing division of Idea and Design Works, LLC (IDW) and is recognized as the fifth-largest comic book publisher in the United States, behind Marvel Comics, Marvel, DC Comics, DC, Dark Horse Comics, Dark Horse, and Image Comics, ahead of other comic book publishers such as Archie Comics, Archie, Boom! ''Angel'' comic book refers to one of two series published by Dark Horse Comics during 2000–2002. Both of these series are based on the television series ''Angel'', and were published while the television series was on air. The first volume was an ongoing series halted after seventeen issues. The second volume was a mini-series, spanning four issues. Various related works have come out coinciding with these volumes. In 2005, IDW Publishing picked up the rights and began publishing various ''Angel'' related mini-series and one-shots set during and after the show's final season (these series are considered non-canonical). ''America's Army'' is a series of first-person shooter video games developed and published by the U.S. Army, intended to inform, educate, and recruit prospective soldiers. Launched in 2002, the game was branded as a strategic communication device designed to allow Americans to virtually explore the Army at their own pace, and allowed them to determine whether becoming a soldier fits their interests and abilities. ''American McGee's Grimm'' is a 23-part episodic video game series based upon ''Grimm's Fairy Tales'', designed by American McGee, developed by Spicy Horse and distributed online initially by GameTap starting July 31, 2008. ''Grimm'' was originally thought to resemble the warped fairy tale style of ''American McGee's Alice'', but the art style appears to be much more child-friendly and simplistic. ''Grimm'' is written and executive-produced by the same person as ''American McGee's Alice'', R. J. Berg. The original announcement was made in the June 2007 issue of ''PC Gamer''. Spicy Horse Games is using Unreal Engine 3 technology for ''American McGee's Grimm''. There are 23 weekly episodes, divided into three seasons of eight or seven episodes each. The Adventures of Digger and Friends is a series of animated vignettes that showed during NASCAR on Fox pre-race shows during the 2009 NASCAR season. Background In 2009, Fox Sports announced that "Digger", who had already been a mascot for the corner camera in NASCAR, would be the subject of a series of vignettes that would air during NASCAR on Fox pre-races. Keith Urban composed a new single for the show, called "Lil' Digger". In an interview, Urban was noticeably happy with creating the song, saying "How could you turn the critter down? I immediately went to my drum machine, then to my guitar, back to my drum machine and on to my banjo and it wasn't long before I had the song. I just hope that Digger likes it."
