This is a list of characters from the Japanese anime series ''Bakugan Battle Brawlers''. Heroes Battle Brawlers Dan Kuso Daniel "Dan" Kuso (known in the Japanese version as and nicknamed ) is the main human protagonist in the series, who is 12 years old (11 in the Japanese dub) in the first season, 14 in New Vestroia, 16 in Gundalian Invaders, and 17 in Mechtanium Surge. In the beginning, he is ranked #117, and by episode 39, he is ranked #1 and has become ranked #4 or under in episode 6 of Mechtanium Surge. It is revealed in episode 5 that he lives not too far from Runo. In episode 32, a flashback revealed that he knew Runo from when he was little, but didn't realize it until later. It is heavily hinted that he has feelings for Runo (and vice versa) but no relationship forms. In ''New Vestroia'', Dan returns to New Vestroia to help Drago save the world from the invading Vestals. Bakugan Battle Brawlers Ability Structure
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Nelvana Animation and TMS Entertainment under the direction of Mitsuo Hashimoto (director), Mitsuo Hashimoto. The story centers on the lives of creatures called Bakugan and the "battle brawlers" who possess them. The Bakugan franchise itself is a joint venture between Sega Toys, Spin Master and Nelvana. Although originally broadcast by TV Tokyo in Japan, follow-up seasons (''Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia, New Vestroia'' and ''Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders, Gundalian Invaders'') premiered in Canada and the US before Japan. The fourth and final season, ''Mechtanium Surge'', was never broadcast in Japan and instead aired in North American markets. However, a Japan-exclusive manga series, ''Baku Tech!
