is the second main spin-off of the ''Yu-Gi-Oh!'' franchise, succeeding ''Yu-Gi-Oh! GX'', in celebration of the 40th anniversary of ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' and the 15th anniversary of '' V Jump''. The series aired from April 2008 to March 2011. The story focuses on characters playing a card game called Duel Monsters. This series introduces Synchro Monsters to the ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game''. Sean Schemmel (born November 21, 1968) is an American voice actor, ADR director, and screenwriter known chiefly for his work in cartoons, anime, and video games. His most notable role is the teen and adult voice of Goku, Son Goku in the Funimation dub of the ''Dragon Ball'' franchise.
