List Of Mäjilis Members Of The 8th Parliament Of Kazakhstan
This is a list of members of the Mäjilis in the 8th Parliament of Kazakhstan, elected in the 2023 legislative election on 19 March. A total 98 members were elected to their seats, with 69 from party-list proportional representation and 29 from single-mandate territorial constituencies. The elected members became officially registered within the Central Election Commission on 28 March 2023 and were subsequently sworn to their parliamentary seats on 29 March. Mäjilis
The Mäjilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (; ), commonly shortened as Mäjilis or Mazhilis ( Kazakh Cyrillic: Мәжіліс , 'Assembly'), is the lower house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, alongside the upper house Senate. Together, they form the national bicameral legislature of Kazakhstan, responsible for enacting legislation. Established by the Constitution of Kazakhstan following the 1995 constitutional referendum, the Mäjilis was first convened in 1996. The chamber plays role in the legislative process, debating and passing laws, where lawmakers discuss key issues facing the country and propose solutions to address them by representing the interests of constituents. The Electoral district No. 8 (; ) is a Single-member district, single-mandate electoral district, territorial constituency in Kazakhstan, represented in the lower chamber Mäjilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Parliament. It covers the entirety of Abai Region, including all its regional districts, with its seat being located in Semey. Abai Region
Abai Region (, ) is a Regions of Kazakhstan, region of Kazakhstan. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced on 16 March 2022 that the region would be created. The area split off from East Kazakhstan Region when Tokayev's bill came into force on 8 June 2022. The administrative center of the region is Semey, until 2007 known as Semipalatinsk. Its borders roughly correspond to the old Semipalatinsk Oblast, Kazakhstan, Semipalatinsk Region which was liquidated in 1997 and merged with East Kazakhstan Region. Danabek Isabekov
Danabek Erjanūly İsabekov (, born June 27, 1983) is a Kazakh politician, who's serving as a Member of the Mäjilis since March 2023. A member of the ruling Amanat party, Isabekov has previously served as Member of the municipal Shymkent City Mäslihat from 2021 to 2023 and has worked in numerous government-affiliated organizations. Early life and education Born in Jizzakh Region of Soviet Uzbekistan on June 27, 1983, Isabekov got his first degree from Maqsut Narikbayev University in 2004, where he became a jurist. Later, in 2008, he ended his studies at Auezov South Kazakhstan State University, where he studied finance and land management. Erlan Stambekov
Erlan Däuletuly Stambekov (, ; born 17 December 1966) is a Kazakh politician and entrepreneur who is serving as a member of the Mäjilis since 2023. He previously served in the local government as a deputy of the Almaty City Mäslihat from 2016 to 2019, and a deputy in the Alma-Ata City Council of People's Deputies from 1989 to 1993. Throughout his career, Stambekov has held various roles in business, government, and energy sectors.
