Liga Dos Escuteiros De Moçambique
The Liga dos Escuteiros de Moçambique (LEMO), the national Scouting organization of Mozambique, was founded in 1994, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1999. The coeducational Liga dos Escuteiros de Moçambique has 31,108 members as of 2017, with most members located in the major cities. The National Chief Scout Leonardo Adamowicz is from Poland, hence the Liga dos Escuteiros de Moçambique uniform is similar to the Polish Scouting Association, Polish uniform, adopted to climate differences. The similarities between the Mozambican Scout emblem and the Polish Scout ''lilijka'' may readily be noted, as well. The "D H P" in the emblem stands for ''Deus Honra Pátria'', God Honor Country. Mozambique hosted the Africa Region, 5th African Jamboree in 2006, and was expected to host the cancelled World Scout Moot in 2008. The association is a member of the Comunidade do Escutismo Lusófono (Community of Lusophone Scouting). Program The association is ...

Explorer Scout
Explorer Scouts, frequently shortened to Explorers, is the fifth section of The Scout Association in the United Kingdom for 14- to 18-year-olds. The section was introduced in 2001 and formally launched in February 2002, alongside Scout Network, to replace the former Venture Scout section for fifteen-and-a-half to twenty-year-olds. Following on from the Scout section, Explorer Scouts are run in Units at a District level as opposed to the more local Group level that run the younger sections. In addition to earning activity badges in common with younger sections, Explorers are able to attain the highest awards in the movement such as the King's Scout Award. Part of the programme for the section is the Young Leader's scheme, which trains Explorer Scouts in leadership methods and allows them to volunteer with the younger sections of the movement. History The Explorer Scout section was established in the early years of the 21st century. The previous decade had seen a decline i ...

Youth Organizations Established In 1960
Youth is the time of life when one is young. The word, youth, can also mean the time between childhood and adulthood ( maturity), but it can also refer to one's peak, in terms of health or the period of life known as being a young adult. Youth is also defined as "the appearance, freshness, vigor, spirit, etc., characteristic of one, who is young". Its definitions of a specific age range varies, as youth is not defined chronologically as a stage that can be tied to specific age ranges; nor can its end point be linked to specific activities, such as taking unpaid work, or having sexual relations. Youth is an experience that may shape an individual's level of dependency, which can be marked in various ways according to different cultural perspectives. Personal experience is marked by an individual's cultural norms or traditions, while a youth's level of dependency means the extent to which they still rely on their family emotionally and economically. Terminology and definitions ...

World Organization Of The Scout Movement Member Organizations
The world is the totality of entities, the whole of reality, or everything that exists. The nature of the world has been conceptualized differently in different fields. Some conceptions see the world as unique, while others talk of a "plurality of worlds". Some treat the world as one simple object, while others analyze the world as a complex made up of parts. In scientific cosmology, the world or universe is commonly defined as "the totality of all space and time; all that is, has been, and will be". Theories of modality talk of possible worlds as complete and consistent ways how things could have been. Phenomenology, starting from the horizon of co-given objects present in the periphery of every experience, defines the world as the biggest horizon, or the "horizon of all horizons". In philosophy of mind, the world is contrasted with the mind as that which is represented by the mind. Theology conceptualizes the world in relation to God, for example, as God's creation ...

Scout Motto
The Scout Motto of the Scout movement is, in English, "Be Prepared", with most international branches of the group using a close translation of that phrase. These mottoes have been used by millions of Scouts around the world since 1907. Most of the member organizations of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) share the same mottoes. In the first part of ''Scouting for Boys'', Robert Baden-Powell explains the meaning of the phrase: Baden-Powell on "Be Prepared" Baden-Powell provides several descriptions of how and for what situations a Scout must be prepared elsewhere in ''Scouting for Boys''. In his explanation of the third point of the Scout Law, Baden-Powell says: In the opening chapter of ''Scouting for Boys'', Baden-Powell says: Baden-Powell discusses more skills required of Scouts in Chapter IV of ''Scouting for Boys'', which addresses camp life, and he lists: * Tying knots * Making a bivouac shelter for the night, or a hut for longer-term cam ...

Rover Scout
Rovers or Rovering is a programme associated with some Scout organizations for adults, originated by The Boy Scouts Association in the United Kingdom in 1918 to provide a programme for young men who had grown up beyond the age range of the Boy Scouts. It was adopted by many other Scouting organisations. A group of Rovers is called a 'Rover Crew'. Many Scouting organisations, including, since 1966, The Scout Association in the UK, no longer include a Rover programme and some have replaced it with other programmes with modified Baden-Powell Award schemes. Others, mostly Traditional Scouting organisations, maintain the original programme and Baden-Powell Award. Nomenclature Robert Baden-Powell's handbook for Rovers was titled '' Rovering to Success'' and, throughout his book and mostly elsewhere, he referred to "Rovers" and "Rovering", not 'Rover Scouts'. Origins The Rover programme had its origins in two different schemes. The first, aimed at Boy Scouts in the United King ...

Boy Scout
A Scout, Boy Scout, Girl Scout or, in some countries, a Pathfinder is a participant in the Scout Movement, usually aged 10–18 years, who engage in learning scoutcraft and outdoor and other special interest activities. Some Scout organizations have split this wide age group development span into junior and senior programs. Scouts are often organized into patrols of about 6–8 Scouts under a patrol leader with a number of patrols forming a larger troop under the guidance of one or more adult leaders or Scoutmasters. Many troops are affiliated with local, national and international organizations. Some Scout organizations have special interest programs such as Air Scouts, Sea Scouts, high adventure, Scout bands, mounted scouts and cyclist Scouts. In the United States there were around 6 million scouts in 2011. Foundation At the beginning of the twentieth century, there was popular interest in frontier and military scouts. Boys and girls emulated these scouts in dress ...
