Maulvi Liaquat Ali (1817-1892) was a Muslim religious leader from Allahabad (Prayagraj), in the state of Uttar Pradesh in present-day India. He was one of the leaders in the revolt against the British in 1857, in what is now known as the Indian Rebellion of 1857. As one of the most prominent leaders, Maulvi Liaqat Ali belonged to Village Mahgaon in Pargana Chail of District Prayagraj. He was a religious teacher, an upright pious Muslim, and a man of great courage and valour. His family traced their descent from the Jafri branch of Hashmis which had their offshoots at Jaunpur and other places. Liaquat Ali (born 6 August 1983, Okara) is a Pakistani athlete. He competed in the men's 100 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Background Ali comes from Renala Khurd in Punjab. He is currently a professional athlete/coach in the sports department of Pakistan Army. Career National Ali represents Pakistan Army in National competitions. Ali has consecutively played the Pakistan National games from 2006 to 2020 and currently holds the highest record of obtaining the most gold medals which is 59, with only one silver and one bronze in the events of 100m, 200m and 400m men's relay. He is currently also a member of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan which is the governing body of athletics in Pakistan. The Civil Hospital, Hyderabad, also known as Liaquat University Hospital (LUH), is a 2200-bed tertiary care hospital in Hyderabad, Sindh. It is one of the largest teaching hospitals affiliated with Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, the first medical university of public sector in Pakistan. The hospital serves Sindh and the neighboring province of Balochistan. History Civil Hospital, Hyderabad construction was completed with seven wards by 1894 at a cost of 88,173 rupees. The Liaquat National Hospital is located at Stadium Road, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. History Soon after Independence the Red Cross Fete Committee, which was chaired by Syed Wajid Ali, raised about PKR 800,000 through meena bazaars organized under the guidance of Rana Liaquat Ali Khan. At a meeting chaired by Khan, the committee decided to establish a national hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Malik Ghulam Muhammad, the governor-general of Pakistan, laid the foundation stone of the hospital on 23 February 1953. The Liaquat National Memorial Library is a public library located at the Stadium Road in Karachi, Pakistan. History The National Library of Pakistan was established in 1951 as a branch directorate. In the year 1954, the Liaquat Memorial Library was constructed by Haji Illyas Hassan Mughal bery famous architecture of that time.
