Let's Dance 2021
''Let's Dance 2021'' was the sixteenth season of the Swedish celebrity dancing show '' Let's Dance.'' The season premiered on 20 March 2021 and ended on 15 May 2021, and broadcast on TV4. New presenters for this season were Petra Mede and David Lindgren. Contestants Singer Carola Häggkvist was the first celebrity contestant to be announced on 18 February. On 27 April, Häggkvist decided to quit the show, citing health concerns as a reason. On 28 April, TV4 announced that Keyyo who was eliminated on 24 April, would return to replace Häggkvist. TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Sweden, Swedish free-to-air Television in Sweden, television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media, TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. ''Let's Dance 2020'' is the fifteenth season of the Swedish celebrity dancing show '' Let's Dance.'' The season premiered on 20 March 2020, and was broadcast on TV4. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Sweden, TV4 decided that a number of the season's episodes would be filmed without an audience. On 17 March, TV4 announced that because of restrictions as a result of the pandemic, actress Siw Malmkvist would not be participating in this season. Because celebrity dancer Anders Jansson was suffering from a cold, the second episode of the show was cancelled; the show featured live performances from several Swedish singers instead. During the second episode, Dr. Mikael Sandström revealed he would not continue dancing this season. He said he wanted to focus instead on his duties as a doctor during the pandemic. ''Let's Dance'' is a Swedish dance competition featuring Swedish celebrities. It is the Swedish version of the British reality TV competition ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and is part of the ''Dancing with the Stars ''Strictly Come Dancing (widely known as Dancing with the Stars)'' is an international television franchise based on the format of the British TV series '' Strictly Come Dancing,'' itself a successor to the show ''Come Dancing'' (1950–1998) ...'' franchise. The series has been broadcast for eighteen seasons on TV4. A jury of three to four people, combined with viewer voting, decides which dance couples will remain in the competition and which will be eliminated each week. Petra Mede
Petra Maria Mede (; born 7 March 1970) is a Swedish comedian, dancer, actress and television presenter. Mede is known for her several roles in comic shows and as a television presenter, and is best known outside of Sweden for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in , , and , and appearing as a guest performer in . Early life Petra Maria Mede was born in Stockholm to Ulla Elisabet (; born 1940) and entrepreneur (born 1939), and raised in Partille, near Gothenburg. She has a younger sister named Anne Mede Ageling. She graduated in Philosophy as well as in the French language. Johan David Stellan Lindgren (born 28 April 1982) is a Swedish singer, musical actor and television presenter. He is signed to the EMI Sweden label. Biography Johan David Stellan Lindgren was born 28 April 1982 in Nederkalix. He grew up in Ersmark. Martin Melin
Martin Melin (born 6 March 1967), is a Swedish author, police officer, politician and former television personality, and the world's first winner of the TV reality series Expedition Robinson (the first of the Survivor series) in 1997. Melin has been Member of the Swedish Parliament since August 2023, representing Stockholm Municipality.
