Marvel Legacy
Marvel Legacy is a 2017–18 relaunch of a line of American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is concurrent with All-New, All-Different Marvel and Marvel NOW! 2.0. Publication history On April 22, 2017, Marvel Comics announced Marvel Legacy at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo. The goal of the Legacy initiative was to bring a greater focus to Marvel's core superheroes, unlike recent relaunches such as Marvel NOW!, which gave prominence to newer and younger heroes. Marvel Entertainment's chief creative officer Joe Quesada stated that company was embracing their roots with the creation of this new comic book line. Marvel Comics' editor-in-chief Axel Alonso noted that the relaunch was about reminding readers of the company's rich history by highlighting the connections between characters and reintroducing some iconic characters. Testament (band)
Testament is an American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1983 under the name Legacy, the band's current lineup includes rhythm guitarist Eric Peterson, lead vocalist Chuck Billy, lead guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio and drummer Chris Dovas. Testament has experienced many lineup changes over the years, with Peterson being the only remaining original member, though they have since reunited with Skolnick, who left the band from 1992 but rejoined in 2005. Billy has been a member of Testament since 1986, when he replaced original frontman Steve Souza, Steve "Zetro" Souza, who had left to replace Paul Baloff in Exodus (band), Exodus. Peterson and Billy are the only members to appear on all of Testament's studio albums. Legacy Virus
The Legacy Virus is a fictional plague appearing in American comic books featuring the X-Men published by Marvel Comics. It first appeared in an eponymous storyline in Marvel Comics titles, from 1993 to 2001, during which it swept through the mutant population of the Marvel Universe, killing hundreds, as well as mutating so that it affected non-mutant humans as well. Description The Legacy Virus, contrary to the name, was a viroid and was released by Stryfe, a terrorist and clone of Cable from approximately 2,000 years in the future. It originally existed in two forms, Legacy-1 and Legacy-2, which specifically affected mutants. After interacting with Infectia's abilities, the virus mutated into a third form, Legacy-3, that was capable of infecting humans. The Legacy Virus is strongly suggested to be an allegory for the AIDS epidemic. ''Legacy'' is a series of novels by Cayla Kluver that follow a young princess that must decide between a forbidden love and her obligations to her kingdom. Kluver first began writing the series around the mid-2000s and finished her first rough draft of ''Legacy'' at the age of fourteen. Kluver initially self-published the first volume in the series with the help of her parents, but was later re-released by AmazonEncore in 2008. AmazonEncore passed on further volumes in the series, with Harlequin Teen purchasing the rights to the entire trilogy and releasing the series between 2011 and 2012. Joan Hotchkis (September 21, 1927 – September 27, 2022) was an American stage, screen and television actress, writer and performance artist. A lifetime member of the Actors Studio and the Dramatists Guild, Hotchkis was best known for playing Dr. Nancy Cunningham for several seasons on ''The Odd Couple'', for co-writing with Eric Morris the seminal acting manual "No Acting Please" (1977), which is still used in colleges and conservatories, and for her groundbreaking performance art works in the 1990s. Early life Hotchkis was born in Los Angeles on September 21, 1927. Her father, Preston, worked in insurance and investment; her mother, Katharine (Bixby), hailed from a family of cattle ranchers in Orange County that turned Rancho Los Alamitos into a 26,000-acre cattle ranch.
